Really great article from the National Journal featuring Congressman Cleaver talking about the challenge of achieving diversity in politics: "An African-American representing a district like mine is unusual, but it should not be," says Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, an African-American Democrat from Missouri who is one of the 15 minority members representing majority-white districts. "I don't want to be so Pollyannaish to think that an African-American can be elected from any district or a Latino has an equal chance of winning any of the 435. But I think that ought to be our goal." Check it: "Why Don't White Voters Elect Minority Reps to Congress?

People such as Rep. Emanuel Cleaver are the reason many whites won't vote for minorities. He casts a bad shadow over all by doing what he has done. In short he is their enemy, not a role model.
ReplyDeleteShut the fuck up.
ReplyDeleteThere is a black president in office named fucking Hussien.
Biracial President !
DeleteI didn't vote for his black ass and he will go down in history as worst president. Superdave is right we tried some trust and got burned so fuck minorities in office.
ReplyDeleteBi Racial a Polar Bears white ass......
ReplyDeleteNever heard a peep in 6 years about Obuma being "white". No decent white would claim the "community mooch".
Nope....the negros claim his half-rican ass and they can keep him.
Congo cleaver
ReplyDeleteAint this the shitz! You elect this ass hole to represent the folks in his district and just like most in the Federal hierarchy he's peddling his racist agenda on the tax payer nickel. Time to reign in the mother fucker and elect a human being who doesn't have all this racist shit in his head.
ReplyDeleteI vote for black Republicans
ReplyDeleteHow many Latinos work for Cleaver?
ReplyDeleteCleaver? Obama it takes gall to ask why we wont vote for blacks after looking at these two clowns
ReplyDeleteCARWASH LIVES MATTER!!!!
ReplyDelete30 years of representation sure hasn't mattered much.
ReplyDeleteWhite people do elect black people. J.C. Watts, Allen West and Mia Love were all elected from congressional districts where Whites are the majority and Tim Scott was elected to the senate from South Carolina, a White and former Confederate State. How did Barack Obama get elected (twice) POTUS if Whites do not vote for Blacks?
ReplyDelete2:42, I'm pretty sure that Carwash has not figured out that endorsements by Al and Jesse make black politicians unelectable in any but leftist urban or black majority rural districts.
ReplyDeleteLet me be very blunt (hide your eyes wimps):
ReplyDeleteFUCK THIS TYPE OF POISONOUS RHETORIC!!!!!!!!!!!
People who make these types of specious arguments are attempting to profit from dividing, antagonizing, and polarizing the public.
It's the same line of reasoning that says, since Asian lesbian females make up 1% of our total population, they should accordingly hold at least 1% of each and every occupation. This includes Air Force pilots, Roman Catholic priests, farmers, brain surgeons, and NHL hockey players.
Simply more bullshit from Congressman Carwash.
The question of why whites don't vote for minorities is simple. Most minorities bilieve in socialism and most white people dont
ReplyDeleteWhy Don't White Voters Elect Minority Reps to Congress?
ReplyDeleteSame reason Black people are equally racists in their choice for political representation; voting for a Black man over a qualified white man who hasn't used his position and authority to dominate, harass and belittle others. Black people are racists. White people are racists. The folks with the most racist tendencies happened to be people who are of the civil rights era. People who can't let go of the past and work together for a better future.
Diversity??? Why do 93% of blacks vote Democratic? Other then the obvious, they are misinformed!
