TKC TREND-SPOTTING: SURGE IN DEADLY AND VIOLENT CRIME TURNS SOUTH KANSAS CITY INTO A NEW HOTSPOT FOR 2015!!!
A horrific quintuple murder this year has galvanized South Kansas City residents into taking the issue of crime seriously amid upcoming elections.
Let's not forget that 6-year-old Angel Hooper was killed in the parking lot of South Kansas City 7-11.
2014 brought increased crime and murder to this often neglected part of the city and the trend looks to continue into next year.
This formerly suburban community is quickly coming to terms with increased violence and tragedy while Mayor and the current council still dedicate most of their time, talking points and public policy toward Downtown development.
The neighborhood at 107th and Blue Ridge is over run with blacks. The neighborhood at 127th and Wornall probably won't be over run with blacks for another 20 years.

It's true I've got family off BR Blvd and we won't even go over there anymore. Shootings all the time, no one takes care of their property. Their house is worth $60,000 less than it was 10 years ago.

ReplyDeleteSouth Kansas City has always been a hotspot for crime. Blacks started moving South in early 2000's and the area and neighborhoods surrounding them hasn't been the same. White flight is happening all over again. Most of the areas where the violence is happening are now predominantly African American, suburban style neighborhoods where Whites once lived. We've seen the school districts in those area start turning into a KCPS extension. Same thing happening in Raytown. Same thing happening in North Kansas City (old part) and in Overland Park, KS.

ReplyDeleteThere will be new interest in the surrounding neighborhoods, and new upscale housing developments will pop-up. The schools will improve. AND there will be no tolerance for Hood-Rat "culture."
Crime will go up -- at first -- then will diminish after a bunch of Hood-Rats are shot in the commission of crimes.
If I were Cerner CEO Patterson, I'd hire the most badass, ex-Seal Team Security force this city has ever seen -- and one that won't put up with any bullshit. And dare those Hood-Rat-Chicken-Shit-Little-Bitches to "Cross The Line."
And then tell the Alonzos of the world to get used to it. Because the VAST MAJORITY of this city don't care how many Thugs get killed -- WE WANT OUR CITY BACK!
