TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CRITICISM ERUPTS OVER MISSOURI SEN. KIKI CURLS QUESTIONABLE HOLIDAY POLITICAL FUNDRAISER AT KANSAS CITY BUILDING!!!
Kansas City politics doesn't take a break for the holidays and thanks to a rather KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDER we have a bit of an ethical quandary to consider this morning.
To wit . . .
WE DON'T WANT TO BE A SCROOGE BUT IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT AN UPCOMING KANSAS CITY POLITICAL FUNDRAISER FOR MISSOURI SEN. KIKI CURLS IS EARNING QUITE A BIT OF JUSTIFIED CRITICISM!!!
Here's the word . . .
"The Curls are doing it again - using a building that was built with state and city funds, and operated by the City, to host Kiki’s political fundraiser. Check out her invite in the Jackson County Dems newsletter. That would be (accurately described as corrupt) if people didn’t fear being called racist by Freedom."
Yes . . . Just a bit of editing to keep your least favorite blogger out of jail . . .
Still . . . The question and criticism of this event is fair and it reminds us that Sen. Curls has endured ethical questions over concern tickets and other complaints about city resources . . .
Now, we can call this a holiday party but the "paid for tag" clearly denotes the political nature of the event . . . And all of this gives way to bigger concerns about so much Kansas City political partying with local taxpayers pretty much picking up the tab.
Developing . . .
And City Hall thinks social media franking is our biggest problem. They probably need to look a bit closer.
ReplyDeleteShe's black and you expect her to be above board on everything HA HA your stupid. She's black and will continue to act black till someone stops her from doing so.
ReplyDeleteThat place is rented out for political functions all the time
ReplyDeleteNo story here just hype. Unless they gave it to her for free.
There is no cost to rent, you just have to reserve. 8:17 is Democrat shill.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a question of equal time. Will the Republicans be offered free use of this building?
ReplyDelete8:24
ReplyDeleteYeah sure they will, but only if they are white.
Very interesting, except for one thing. What building?
ReplyDeletebruce watkins, learn how to read. it's front and center on the invite dillweed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke, if Council Man "Pastor Brooks" can flop his cock out, hit on office chicks and choke them out with no repercussions because he is black, then the idea that this Hottentot will face any local scrutiny for her actions in this matter is preposterous.
ReplyDeleteHell, she should have smoked some crack and lit the pipe with some of the hundred dollar bills missing from the Floyd Mayweather 15K with the shill paparazzi from the KC Star taking pictures for her next campaign. Street cred.
"We" don't want to be a scrooge?
ReplyDelete"We" or "I"? Grow a pair man.
And, actually, this blog is all about being a scrooge.
It's enough to make me want to go back to the morning "paper" instead of turning on my oil based computer and coal powered intertubes for my news bath.
ReplyDeleteAs Seen On The Intertubes
ReplyDeleteWhere's the sunshine?
ReplyDeleteLook at the bright side if lying, making shit up, and bullshit was illegal at least 80% of the people in the U.S. would be in jail now.
ReplyDeleteYour poor KickAss Tipster isn't much of a tipster. I guess this is the first time they got an invite, and they decided to criticize the event instead of actually finding out what it is about.
ReplyDeleteThis event has gone on for at least 8 years, and they have never asked for a dime. So I am not sure how you call it a "fundraiser" if they aren't raising any funds. It is an appreciation event for the community that is paid for by Senator Curls. I assume that is why she had to print the "paid for" at the bottom of the invite.
And if your tipster (or you for that matter) actually got factual information instead of speculation, they would know that any event at the facility requires a cost if it takes place in the evening because of the cost of the staff to stay late.
Lastly, as far as republicans using the facility, like any of them would ever travel east of Troost, especially after dark.
But it is great to see people tearing down others trying to do something nice for the community.
NIGGERS think they can get away with anything and the trouble is, they can. White people are so terrified of offending these jackals, they'll just lay down for whatever thievery or crime NIGGERS can devise.
ReplyDeleteStop your Bullshit 10:38 what it was in the past who cares. But when your party is paid for by money donated to your election fund then it's a fundraiser.
ReplyDeletemake your check to Kiki to have a happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteAs a taxpayer, I don't want this kind of thing in a public building. The city can't really say NO. The best policy is to keep the politics on PRIVATE property.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.brucewatkinscenter.com/rentals/
ReplyDeleteThe facility offers a variety of space you can schedule for your next special event. Please call for availability and cost for the auditorium, atrium and the two gallery spaces.
COST.
There is a COST for renting out the facility.
Someone had to PAY to RENT this space for this event.
It COSTS something to rent it out. Someone PAID for it.
Taxpayers are not picking up the tab. Because they PAID to RENT the facility.
So "the word" is pretty much ax-grinding and jealous whining, eh what?
The building is owned by KCMO:
ReplyDeletehttp://kcparks.org/facility/bruce-r-watkins-cultural-heritage-center/
The fee is just a pittance. The city has rules about politcal fundraising on public property and in city buildings.
I will be filing an ethics complaint against KCMO and Sen. Curls.
Yes taxpayers are picking up the tab, she is have a party using other peoples money given for other reasons or it's a election fundraiser. I also wonder why is it called Curls and Curls far as I know she isn't married.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to cite, chapter and verse, the rule you're citing, 11:06. Just jump right in.
ReplyDeleteAnytime. We'll all wait.
Same ol lying, stealing, unethical nig politician! Sly in the SAME house.
ReplyDeleteTo all of the folks saying how this is legitimate:
ReplyDeleteIt very well may be legitimate. This distrust of everything government officials do is the product of 14 years of Bush/Obama Democrat/Republican schemeing. People see the government endlessly looking for loopholes and technicalities to push programs the People have a general distaste for.
The government has become like the child who puts his finger so close to his sibling's face, and then says "I'm not touching you." Well people see through that. And after so much from the Bush and Obama administrations where they could never admit when they were wrong. They were always "cleared" or everything was "lost". No one wants to see the President of the United States go to prison. Look at the steroid users in baseball. This is a forgiving country, but for goodness sakes there is NEVER any accountability. See Councilman Brooks.
So now people look with a suspicious eye at everything. This may be something benign, but how are we supposed to know that? The government has trained us very well to question everything they do. And can you blame the people?
No! Kiki Curls is corrupt?! You don't say. Well don't that beat all?! I will have to alert Tindall and the hag, Gayle Holiday. They are particular about choosing their associates.
ReplyDeleteTony, you should cut the overage teen, Kiki some slack. She is also a basement dweller in her father's house.
ReplyDeleteand you exxpect curls to do something legal. agreed that the city shouldnt allow political party to rent city buldgs and we know she isnt going to pay rent
ReplyDeleteSo here we sit waiting for some nugget that this is all illegal and an "ethics violation."
ReplyDeleteBut it never did show, did it?
So this is fine, and perfectly legit, and just another Fine Example of Race-Bating Hatred from Tony.
Oh, well done good sir. Bravo! You must be so proud.
Be careful 200, you will get f bombed by some trailer park bigot, whose only joy in life is to control the tone on this dumb ass blog.
ReplyDeleteI bet you will feel so much misery, you will no longer leave your house.
Its not a fundraiser. Its a holiday reception/party for their constituents. Its well done and well received every year. Surely an appropriate use of the facility.
ReplyDeleteIt's another free NIGGER party, paid for by the humans. The NIGGERS are getting very, very good at this.
ReplyDeleteI support Sen. Curls and this party that is a good tradition in KC. There are worse things happening in local buildings and at least she is trying to do something worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteAs for the racists here, they speak poorly of themselves and they prove that this criticism is unfounded.
There is NOTHING as in NOT-A-THING illegal about this event. Actually, Sen. Curls need not have noted that it is her campaign committee that is paying for the event. As no contributions are being sought, it's a party for constituents and need only be identified as such in a descriptive paragraph attached to her committee's regular reports.
ReplyDeleteSettle down, folks. No fire here. No even a whiff of smoke.
They pay rent for the building, so quit the bullshit. It's paid for, and it's NOT a fundraising event...it's free to the public. WTF?????????????????????
ReplyDelete2:31 how is your use of "trailer park" any different than anothers use of the "f word".
ReplyDeleteNot a fundraising event ? Okay/
ReplyDelete1:19 hit the nail on the head.
ReplyDelete3:00, you should really GROW THE FUCK UP.
ReplyDeleteDang, fat, dump, and stupid is no way to live.
231 is right.
6:10 you are doing the same thing as 3:00, there is no difference in your name calling and his. Neither are very productive, but to each his own.
ReplyDeleteWhich lobbyist is paying for this?
