- Perspective . . . There are nearly two dozen unsolved murders: If convicted, Anderson faces a term of two to four years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000 on the felony charge. She was also charged with a misdemeanor charge of animal abandonment.
- Anderson claims a neighbor lied to investigators, telling them she threw her dog off the balcony. Instead she says Roadrunner and her other dog Pearl got loose before a trip to the dog park. She says Roadrunner was hit by a car.
