In reality, we hear young people were simply too fast for local police to round-up . . .
The teaching moment here is that social media makes crowd control pretty much impossible and entertainment district or shopping mall control is tenuous at best.

Not a fucking riot, Tony. Quit speaking hyperbole. A bunch of BLACK middle schoolers gathered outside the mall to watch/or be part of a fight. IPD was overwhelmed, so they sent an APB to all the other agencies to get them out of there. Like animals, they refused. Mace was used on some. Then they begin to fight themselves like ANIMALS. Animals, animals, animals. No life-threatening injuries. Of course police are downplaying it to avoid potential attention. They don't want more of this shit. I'm sure the "scholars" also gangbanged a couple of innocent bystanders. Riots my ass. The answer to all of this would be the ghetto parents monitoring their kids' social media habits.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a spammer but I check TKC because the Kansas City Star is a waste of trees anymore. I can scroll through TKC and find personal stories about what's happening around the city without the hassle of recycling paper. And police cracking heads on young people is a common occurrence in the city. I also noticed that CAPTCHA's have twelve digits on cop stories and see the pro police spam that run into the paragraphs. I wonder if the Police Union has this stuff printed and ready to post as these issues of police brutality become an eyesore to the public conscience. The police around the nation have a more money and power that they've actually devoured other public service under the euphemism of Public Safety. Conditioning young people to adjust to living in isolation where there is no community out there to thrive in is by every account a police function. Even though Solitary Confinement is considered Torture by International Law. Police Departments like KCPD knowingly use torture techniques like Ad Seg on young people to get confessions that lead to the conviction leading longer jail times. Cops are not working people and don't operate in the interest of working people. The good cop/bad cop dichotomy no long exist in public conversation. Cops are instruments of powerful people in the community who usurp the wealth of the city through shopping malls and entertainment districts and set up kill zones in places like 13th and Baltimore where Anthony Bruno was murdered or 13th and Grand where Ryan Stokes was shot in the back. It's easy to pull the trigger when your instrumental to the states needs but the KCPD and StLPD have lost the hearts and minds of the general public and the question right public safety and public good will be heavily contested as more young people are shot by police week after week.
