  1. So you're saying that consultants want to run a campaign on this one? Which isn't a surprise at all TKC.

  2. So when have voters' wishes had anything to do with what the city does with taxpayer money?

  3. Gotta figure us Denizens hate this too?

    Do we like anything?

  4. God please God let the American Royal move to Kansas! Let them eat star bonds...

  5. If the Fat Bowtie opts to use city money to knock Kemper down, I hope he's in the building when the wrecking ball brings it down.

  6. 6:29 has the right idea.
The city will just form some type of special district in which only Mariner Kemper, two cows, and a couple horses can vote and....mission accomplished!
Is KCMO a great city, or what?

  7. hahahaha

who would commission a poll about Kemper Arena and the American Royal?

Only the people who dreamed up this imaginary nonsense and fed it to your sucker-in-chief.

  8. Listen bitches - the American Royal is part of our agricultural heritage. You uncivilized rubes should be happy that it has evolved to include horse show jumpers and dressage. 2016 President Mitt Romney Style. Thank you, Mariner.

  9. Well, you can count on some fuck head at City Hall declaring the architect/imbecile who designed this monstrosity a martyr after it is torn down. The City will erect a miniature of it in bronze in the West Bottoms as a monument to the architect at a cost of 2 million of taxpayer cash.

  10. I just don't understand why Mariner doesn't help KC instead of costing us all of this money.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Why should he help when he can get taxpayers to front all the risk? This city council and mayor would be glad to offer more corporate welfare.

Amazing how all the tax dollars that have been pumped into that freaking arena and now it is salvage.

They haven't done sit to maintain the airport, 18th and Vine will rot, Bartle Hall is the exhibition hall that could have been and we keep handing these bureaucratic ass hats our money??? WTF is wrong with us?

  14. Kemper Arena looks like a fertilizer plant.

    ReplyDelete
  15. If the American
Royal has not made enough money in 100 years they need to go out of business after all with only 7500 tickets sold at $40 each that's only $300,000 a far amount from the $million plus that would be needed to pay for a new building each year.
Don't see the need for the taxpayers to keep paying for something the people don't want. Times have changed,we are not a cow town anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Downtown KCMO is a dung heap. Move the Royal to Bonner Springs.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Time for the taxpayers to stop paying for a loser.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Let the American Royal go on their own, time for taxpayers to keep their hard earned money. They need to pay their own way.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fuck the American Royal, you can thank George Guestello. Stupid taxpayer supported butt clown.

Mariners Catch Kemper wants a new Kemper, then you pay for it you fucking daddys cum stain.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If we can't maintain it now how the hell are we going to pay for it to be torn down and a new one built? Hey big shot wealthy boneheads knock it off. Enough with the inappropriate use of taxpayer funds. The answer is NO. Not interested in giving away another public owned property with outrageous demands at a price tag we cannot afford.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love the thought process that goes behind having a lease for a property and having your proposal be that you be given the property for free.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Isn't KCMO still paying off bonds to increase the seating capacity of Kemper. The renovations that would keep the Big 12 (now 10 and shrinking) basketball tourney in KC forever.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The American Royal's new complex in eastern KCK will be a nice addition to the WyCo economy, and it will be one less thing for stupid Missouri residents to complain about.
