TKC NOTE: More than any other media article, video or photo, THANK YOU TO GRACIOUS AND BRILLIANT TKC TIPSTERS who sent us THE DEFINITIVE ACCOUNT of the most recent Kansas City protest in solidarity with Ferguson. This digital missive has been forwarded throughout social media and is by far the most popular report on what happened last night. Check it:
Excerpts From Michelle's Ferguson Story
Last night I marched in solidarity with people of like minds. I was able to yell my frustrations out with the system, and I was heard. I was always able to witness some beautiful things, people from all walks of life recognizing that in America there is an issue when people of color are met with excessive deadly force. When anyone is met with excessive deadly force, it is an issue. To know that people understand that the system that politicians ask us to have faith in and to be patient is the same one denying justice.
Don't let those news articles fool you Kansas City. While there police officers who were kind to us, there were also those who were not. Also it was clear where they wanted to protect . . .
There was a period of time when I was walking from Prospect to Troost there was a cop car behind me the whole way. And I was able to draw strength from it. I appreciate not being arrested, at the same time I was prepared to be arrested.
People were arrested and they began to pick people off one by one. One of the police officers on his horse stepped on a woman and I am pretty sure broke her foot. And as she cried out in pain the officer experience no empathy he just told her to get out the street.
Or how we crossed over Troost one of the officers was flipping us off. REALLY?
They went even as far as to block us from entering the Plaza at first. When we got there one of the protestors who were having medical issues asked for bottle of water from one of the officers who was passing out water to the the police escorts. He stared at her and he opened a bottle and drank it, and then threw it at her disrespectful hitting her, myself, and a few other protestors. But you won't hear about that in the media.
But there were also the good cops, but I just can't take this "stay on the sidewalk" mess. The cops were fine with us protesting as long as we were not in the street. Some were empathetic to the cause and others voiced their support.
Thank you to my support system. I felt so much love last night and I felt so empowered . . .

ReplyDeleteBullshit you are lying. No cop flipped you off. A horse may have stepped on someone. There was not a cop throwing water at anyone. Fuck you and your bullshit lying story.
ReplyDeleteFREE MONICA MEDERIOS!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with 11:38.
ReplyDeleteDon't buy the story as well. I bet a cop did nothing to the terror errrrr I'm sorry, I mean protestors.
ReplyDeleteI'm I missing something? All this for a punk who was disrespectful to a cop. Went after his gun and hit him a few time.
Pharrell Williams is right why aren't we talking about his bullyish behavior? Do any of the terror I mean protestors seen him bully and strong arm a Indian store clerk over crappy cigars?
Do people think Brown was going to grow up to be something other then dead or in prison?
Guys if your town has a black population of over 10 % this could happen in your city. Grandview, Raytown and KCK you could be next.
I support Kcpd
ReplyDeleteDOWN WITH THE POLICE STATE!!!
ReplyDeleteDarren Wilson is the pussification of police.
ReplyDeleteHere's a video of a cop flipping off a random motorist at Westport last summer... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFVgwL7gfa4
ReplyDeleteIf she is free to say what she wants, the cop is free to flip her off.
ReplyDeleteNo, if someone at my place of employment flips me off and I flipped them off back, I would be fired. KC I add like other areas - there are some good ones who are cops to protect and serve but there are others who are cops to feed an ego/power trip.
ReplyDeleteFuck Michael thug Brown and fuck all the single digit bird brains who support him and his thug parents.

ReplyDeleteEven a drunken Polar Bear knows that you don't steal, choke out a midget Indian, walk in the middle of the street, tell a cop to "fuck yourself", punch a cop, try and take a cops gun away from him.......
ReplyDeleteA whole bunch of stupidity exhibited by Mike Mike in the last minutes of his life.
Makes you wonder what his "adult life" would have been like ? Nobel Peace prize, President of the United States, or possibly a cell next to Brandon Howell.
niggers and nigger lovers fuck up EVERYTHING.
ReplyDelete2:27 you have no idea who he flipped off might have been another cop busting his balls.
ReplyDeleteAssholes like you, ya shit stain spread lies and crap, thinking you stand for something. All you stand for is showing the world how fucking stupid you are.
Don't want a cop up your ass then don't break the law or act like you are going to if given a chance.
