Even More Kansas City Overnight Flooding

Most people even vaguely familiar with Kansas City have at least a working knowledge of our longstanding water infrastructure FAIL.

At the outset of every election silly season, politicos promise to make progress on this bit of deferred maintenance and then nothing much happens except for higher taxes and steadily rising water and sewer bills.

And so . . .

TONIGHT WE CELEBRATE A GREAT MANY MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY STREETS UNDERWATER AMID NOT SO SIGNIFICANT EVENING RAIN!!!

Fact is, every time it rains a great many KCMO streets clog up with storm sewage runoff and tonight is no exception. And so on this day mostly dedicated to breaking a local losing traditions, tonight we notice that old and busted streets along with new additions to our murder count makes it clear that not much has changed in Kansas City.

And so . . .

Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS, discussion, debate, discourse, more than our share of hateration and all kinds of good stuff in just a few . . . STAY TUNED!!!

  19. Yeah, seems like those are DIRECTLY related and in no way a total strawman.

Awesome how you literally cut and pasted the "magical mystery bus" guy's phrase but then changed a word so hilariously and originally. Fricking sweet, bro.

Back to Internet Trolling 101, for you, son, cause:

    you

    fail.

  20. Yes, 10:35, the will of the people was chrystal clear:

The East Side and Northeast do not want transit investments paid for by the westside and primarily built in their neighborhoods. They like their bus service as is, and a particularly not inclined to vote for MAX lines (the closer you get to Prospect, the lower the yes vote).

The entire urban core West of Troost is willing to pay for, and can afford, upgraded, real, efficient, effective modern transit, like they have in every other city of comparable size and many smaller cities as well.

So that is waht the city will persue and eventually build.
