It's looking like the Okla City guy probably had NO contact with ISIS or any of those guys ... he's just an unhappy dude who converted to Islam (something thousands of Americans do, without having any murderous ambitions) and before or after that, decided becoming a jihadi would make him a successful human being, something that clearly had eluded him all his life.
In other words, just a wannabe with a pretty typical profile for such people.
But how many more random nobodies in places like Okla City or Kansas City are likely to do the same thing? Not a reassuring thought. Guys like that, from the western world, are a fair proportion of ISIS's on-the-ground fighting force, according to all reports.

ReplyDeleteThere are a few questions to ask about the muslim who beheaded a co-worker and attempted to behead another before the muslim was shot by employee who was legal firearm carrier. Would they being calling it work place violence if a Mennonite, Baptist, or Jew had done same? Will obama say this is not part of islam? Will people still believe islam is a peaceful pastoral religion of love and peace? Will there now be a ground swell to outlaw knives as instruments of violence? Will there now be a movement to outlaw muslims as perpetrators of violence? If muslims are being radicalized by watching and listening to islamic tapes, why didn't we see more people riding horses and shooting Indians when cowboy movies were big? Why does the obama government have such a hard time calling islam what it is - a violent, malignant cult that preaches aggression? I say if obama tries to white wash this as not typical of islam he should immediately be impeached and forced to resign. How long will Americans turn a blind eye to this very real domestic threat?

Byron why do you remain and return solely to come in here lying and starting trouble. The Bible never ordered the slaughter of Muslims, Jews, Protestant Christians, or Catholic Christians. Orders for those deaths came from men who used others' admiration of the Bible to achieve their own selfish or political ends. European believers did respect the Bible during medieval times, but few copies existed, most people couldn't read it, and many were dependent on a single denomination's control of its interpretation. Stick to playing chess but doubt you can do that well either.
