TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! COULD UPCOMING BANISTER FED COMPLEX DEMOLITION CREATE TOXIC DUST CLOUD ABOVE SOUTH KANSAS CITY?!?!?

A Kansas City Insiders sends an important note and question that's part of increasing community concern as the demolition of a local nuke component site approaches . . .
To wit . . .
DENIZENS OF SOUTH KANSAS CITY FEAR THE CHANCE OF A TOXIC CLOUD CREATED BY UPCOMING BANNISTER FED COMPLEX DEMOLITION!!!
Nearby white people should worry because the wind could blow this thing any which way . . . Here's the insider word with chem study deets about what could be a South Kansas City disaster.
Check it:
"Quick question on the Bannister Complex . . . After these buildings are razed, then will there be clean up of the contaminants??? Since no one is discussing it: Are the dry contaminates inside the building such as the polluted 80,000 square foot part of the building with beryllium dust or the tons of friable asbestos throughout - part of the cleanup process?
"I know that according to NNSA the amounts of beryllium inside do not meet THEIR definition of a hazard (but if you read EPA or OSHA, no one knows what an acceptable amount to breath is) but I also know that GSA refused to take areas back because they were not allowed to conduct a contamination survey of the area and GSA believes it is a problem. So if one says it is not a problem but another says it is, who do you believe? Also, has Center Point been advised about these areas so that they can be decontaminated before they raze the buildings and NOT PRODUCE A DUST CLOUD UP IN THE AIR that would affect a 10 mile radius from Bannister to other neighborhoods in that range???"
Developing . . .
Good question, but I trust the government.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a reason to be in that part of town and not planning to be.
ReplyDeleteGrasping for issues today Paco.
ReplyDeleteBigfoot at Noon.

ReplyDeleteLol no!
ReplyDeleteSlow mud slinging, rumor filled, lie driven day?
ReplyDeleteThey don't need to destroy the building they need to eliminate the beuracracy. While the public continues to experience the economic downturn out beloved government continues to take their money and throw it at wasteful shit. Where the hell is Obama, Claire and Cleaver?
ReplyDeletewhy didn't the EPA move the KCK regional office to Bannister location a couple years ago? Especially since they built that new building in downtown KCK, then left it hanging for OP?
ReplyDeleteBREAKING!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAttorney General Eric Holder Resigning!!!!!!!!
TODAY DECLARED NATIONAL HOLIDAY AS ONE OF THE BIG RATS JUMPS FROM THE OBAMA SHIP.
If it does, let's hope the toxic cloud drifts over the east side too. KCMO could use a good colon cleansing.

ReplyDeleteOne thing for sure the Republicans will be fast to work on confirming Holder's replacement no matter who the hell it is.
ReplyDeleteWord is Holder is going to apply for the Chief job in Ferguson so he can show us ALL how it is supposed to be done.

The handful of bigots who get their sense of satisfaction by driving the comments on this blog don't like Holder.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely trust the government and real estate developers. They would never downplay, lie nor mislead about important details that could derail a potentially lucrative redevelopment project.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to hire the same gang who shoveled all the asbestos under as part of the $25 million Citadel Plaza fiasco.
ReplyDeleteIt will take years for anybody to find out.
Good grief. Those of us who grew up in the 60s and earlier breathed all kinds of stuff. My mom used to play with asbestos siding shingles and she's fine. Quit being babies - chemicals are good for you, except when they're not.

OSHA is a safety regulation enforcement agency and relies on American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for Threshold Limitation Values (TLV) regarding exposure.
ReplyDeleteI hope all you nay say-ers never have to take care of someone with berylliosus. Honeywell has paid out millions for contaminated workers at their complex and are still testing workers. they say there is no problem yet they keep paying. while some chemicals are good for us not all are.
ReplyDeleteglad someones mother worked with it and is okay but I worked with asbestos and have asbestosis and just have to see how it goes. had 2 friends who worked with me and they died of mesothielioma (asbestos desiase. OSHA makes the rules but not all government agencies are equal and can get away with stuff under secret status unlike civilian agencies. so just hope everything is okay because if the wind is from the southwest hello raytown or southeast hello johnson county
