ReplyDeleteThe relationship between the principal and this kid sounds very father/son like. If there was no sexual aspect, then I don't see the big deal.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the principal is being penalized for trying to help a kid in need. I suppose he's in trouble for doing what the board thinks the government should be doing.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big deal because what GROUPTHINK says is correct is the only way in this society.

Everybody loves sweet love from pappy, don't let no rules get in the way.
ReplyDeleteThe initial reports made it sound like he was a pervert. Now that doesn't look like the case. I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteIt might be completely innocent, but he should have gone through the proper procedures to help the kid.
ReplyDeleteToo much screwing around with kids has gone on in the past 20 years in schools, churches, Boy Scouts, etc., etc. He should have known that this whole thing would look suspicious and handled it in a different way.
Clever how the video includes a quick cut to the kid's dirty fingernails. What was that supposed to signify?
ReplyDeleteHe may be a normal, clean kid who has worked on his car during the last few days. Scrub all you want and it will still show.
Or he may be the victim of not-so-subtle class warfare.
Oh, wait ... it's a Fox News channel. What a surprise.
As long as there was nothing sexual between the prinipal and the kid, this principal needs to be given a warning and put back on the job. Yes, he probably went about doing things the wrong way, but I remember a couple of poor kids in my upper-middle class high school and teachers had a quiet way of making sure those kids had the necessary clothes to go to prom or money for their cap and gown. It's ashame when someone is criticized for kindness.
