Show-Me Missouri Gay Marriage Money

Remember that all political decisions are powered by either fear or greed: "A new study by scholars at the UCLA School of Law has concluded that Missouri's economy would gain up to $36.3 million over the next three years if same-sex marriage became legal" Study: Missouri's gay marriage dowry is $36.3M - Kansas City Business Journal
P.S. - Clearly, there's even more cash to be made of the additional divorces as well.

  2. @Anonymous -- You are filled with bitterness and hatred. In case you missed it, roughly 25 US District Courts, three US Courts of Appeals, and several state trial, appellate, and supreme courts have held that state bans against gay marriage violate the Equal Protection and / or Due Process Clause(s) of the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution. The most recent Court of Appeals to have handed down a decision pertaining to this issue (the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit) was unanimous in its condemnation of the bans against gay marriage in Indiana and Wisconsin, making it clear that these bans served absolutely no rational purpose under any reading of equal protection theory. The US Courts of Appeals for the Second, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits have all concluded that classifications which proceed along the lines of sexual orientation are constitutionally suspect, rendering gay men and lesbians a "suspect class" for equal protection purposes.

This is not about trying to "get the public to ok [sic] their ass f****** ways" -- it is about trying to vindicate our rights, as gay couples, to access the institution which you take for granted, either because you have already invoked it or because you do not need it.

This is a matter of basic equality, and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment has been invoked in support thereof. Roughly 40 court decisions in total have been handed down in favor of gay marriage, with only one (one) decision opining against gay marriage.

It is because of people like you that it has become necessary for gay persons to petition the courts for full vindication of our rights as Americans.
