Fight Over Threatening Vs. Frightening Pedestrians And Cyclists Delays The Overwrought Kansas City Catcall Ordinance

All the lawyers on the City Council spend a good portion of yesterday arguing about the difference betwixt the term "frightening" vs. "threatening" in the Kansas City catcall bill.
In the end, it was sent back to committee where it'll come back watered down while BikeKC pet cause advocates pretend that their unenforceable defacto cyclist hate crime legislation will help solve problems on rough local streets and forget that cars are way more convenient.
Developing . . .
The bikes can share the road when they have to have lic, insurance and attend riding classes and pay road taxes like the rest of us who use the roads do.
ReplyDeleteEveryone pays (exorbitantly) for the roads in this country, you fucking knee-jerk nitwit. And that's who they belong to.
ReplyDeleteFuck You 6:56 you have insurance to ride your bikes on the roads like I do my car? Do you have insurance for when you and your fag friends run stop signs at intersections and one hits my car?
ReplyDeleteNo asshole people who drive cars pay more towards road use than non car owners so if you nitwit bikers want to share the road than put your money where your mouth is.
Once again Smartman nails it.
Angsty.
ReplyDeleteWe all pay for the streets. Even those of us who have to use them to walk and bike on.
ReplyDeletePaying for the roads is beside the point. Maintaining good traffic flow in safe conditions is the problem with bicyclists trying to use roads meant for motorized vehicles. Every bicyclist I see is a candidate for an obstructing traffic ticket. Most could be given tickets for blowing stop signs and stop lights. They don't have insurance if they cause an accident. Get the kids toys off the streets!
ReplyDeleteGood traffic flow and safe conditions are better acheived by slowing down to bicycle speeds, you reactionary lunder-hung fucking retard.
ReplyDeleteStupidest thing I have heard all day but it's still early. Yes, let's all slow down to fifteen miles an hour or so to accommodate the slowest vehicles on the road. Perfect solution. Maybe we should all wear those ridiculous little spandex costumes you spend so much money on as well.
DeleteThe city needs to specifically define what threatening is in the context of the ordinance. "Frightening" would have never withstood scrutiny as it makes a person guilty if he says hello and the alleged victim claims that scared him. Threatening needs to clarify what is considered a threat. I am positive you can not spin a single horn honk into harassment or a threat.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder her bicycle doesn't fall over.
ReplyDeleteTonight's Critical Mass!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!
only 12 year olds, and Douche bag pompous fucks ride bikes i pulled up to a 4 way stop and 15 of em wanna go through... pussies need to obey the laws too!..
ReplyDeleteScientific fact -- Big tits make a girl happy.
ReplyDeleteBig tits make everyone happy.
ReplyDeleteIll be throwing roofing nails and used motor oil along Critical Mass ride. Its on you stinking hipster freaks.
ReplyDeleteIn the interest of safety we need an ordinance that requires a cyclist test and driver license. We have all those citizens out there riding with absolutely no way to benchmark their proficiency or knowledge of traffic safety rules while on the streets of our fair city.
