THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! KANSAS CITY ETIQUETTE AND GUIDE TO AVOID GETTING KILLED BY POLICE REALLY JUST AN OLD CHRIS ROCK JOKE RETOLD IN THE AFTERMATH OF CHAOTIC FERGUSON, MISSOURI RACIAL CONFLICT AND UPRISING!!!
Today Kansas City Mayor Sly and a great many community leaders gathered to discuss the best way for young African-American men avoid conflict with police amid these tense times of racial disparity and conflict.
Take a look ...
KCUR: Mayor Sly James, Politicians Offer Young African American Men Advice On Interacting With Police
FOX4: Do’s and Don’t When Stopped by the Police
KSHB: Police and community leaders held a panel discussion on what to do when stopped by police.
WDAF: Kansas City community leaders discuss citizens’ public rights
Most of this stuff is sound advice . . .
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALL BASED ON EVEN FUNNIER CHRIS ROCK JOKE!!!
Check it:
While politicos and public officials recycling old comedy routines makes for a good time, the effectiveness of this bit of persuasion is unclear. Like it or not, the reality of the tragic circumstances surrounding the uprising and ensuing chaos in Feguson had a lot more to do with civic unrest in the face of SUPREMACY, cultures clashing and rage over political disparity and just good-old-fashioned American opportunism rather a simple problem than Kansas City good manners and politeness could have avoided.
Just a few links to illustrate the point . . .
New York Times: Dozens Rally for Officer in Ferguson Killing as Funds Are Raised Online
US News: Ferguson's Problems Are Not Ferguson's Alone
Slate: The Two Very Different Worlds of Ferguson
Huff Post: "Policemen are very cynical. I know I am," Page says from a podium on the video. "I hate everybody. I'm into diversity. I kill everybody."
Eric Drooker: This iconic New Yorker Cover really tells the whole story with one powerful image.
And so . . .
IS IT REALISTIC TO TOUT CODES OF ETIQUETTE FOR KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS INTERACTING WITH POLICE IN THE FACE OF A CULTURE WAR PLAYING OUT ON A BIGGER SCALE???
In fairness, it's really hard to justify killing polite people and nice guys usually win when it comes to contests that DON'T involve money, women and power.
So, there's no harm in following these rules even if most politicos are just making this stuff up as they go along.
And all of this inspires tonight's playlist . . .
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
TKC, that cover shows the one instnace where so-called Dead Tree Media has an advantage. Buy that one, frame it. It will become a collectors item in time.
ReplyDeleteTony=instigator.
ReplyDeleteThe cover art is mediocre at best, a B- project if it were a high school art assignment.
ReplyDeleteI liked it. I will guy the t-shirt. But I'm an idiot!
ReplyDeleteChris Rock I am so glad you are one funny fucker but as well show folks what idiots are in your race.
ReplyDeleteAlonzo needs diction lessons.
ReplyDeleteMissouri's Defense of Justification statute. It gives police officers broad authority to use deadly force in cases when "He or she reasonably believes that such deadly force is necessary to protect himself, when he reasonably believes that such use of deadly force is immediately necessary to effect the arrest" and when the subject "May otherwise endanger life or inflict serious physical injury unless arrested without delay."
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of fucking shit. The media continues to jump through hoops making excuses for thuggish behaviour with straw men arguments, red herrings, dissemblance and flat out lies.
ReplyDeleteAs more and more facts come out in this case, the hue and cry from the left is forced to move further and further away from the actual events and back into the same old shibboleths that the same old media shoves down our throat with the same old lies that have passed their sell by date 50 years ago.
The indignation and butt hurt bullshit from folks who claim to be terrified of the police as they step over dead bodies in the streets murdered nOT by cops, but by a pernicious and ignoranct African American sub culture that glorifies and lionizes violence and hatred of the police.
Shut the fuck up.
Go napalm some babies chuck; thanks for fighting in the only war WE LOST
DeleteSure you are going to get along if you do everything an officer asks. Problem is when officers want you to do things that violate your rights, put you at risk you are simply not required to do. Now the major can get up there and say its just like a retail store when you ask for a supervisor and he and I both know that is bullshit.
ReplyDeleteKCFD Bruno should have taken this advice.
ReplyDeleteBruno
ReplyDeleteBrown
Two assholes who got what was coming to them.
Agreed. Just cuz youre kcfd doesnt mean you get to pound an officers face in the ground. I hope our city doesnt settle. That fuck got what was comig
DeleteThe public has lost respect for Law Enforcement. It's like the Vietnam Syndrome.
ReplyDeleteHow come it doesn't show the niggers stealing something FIRST? yeah those niggers got what they deserved.
ReplyDeletebring back the choke hold, again but this time use it on city council!
ReplyDelete11:33 PM if you were a man I would beat the livin shit outta ya for disrespecting the only true voice in here.
ReplyDeleteChuck speaks the truth with great wisdom. I hope he was a Nam vet since I am one too. That makes me respect him even more and your comment offends me even more.
Good thing you are a black pussy or it would have gone horribly bad for your split tailed ass.
Chris Rock FTW
ReplyDeleteThose Krazy Kops really put Missourah on the fuckin map, didn't they? Now they'll have to build huge bypasses on the Interstates so people can drive around it.

............
Yet another example of REMEDIAL classes being held for the feeble-minded and ignorant.
You see, most people are raised to respect law enforcement and to cooperate with authorities, as a way to preserve the peace and maintain order.
Bring back parents that are allowed to kick the shit out of kids who don't behave. When I was a young Smartman II, I was for most part was a good kid only because for the most part I was afraid of the ass beating I'd get if I was caught. The same held true in school as well and bad part about a school ass beating is the whole damn school knew in a few minutes if you got it. That's the one thing that has changed which opened the door for this disrespect we see now days it starts when a person is a kid. I hear of kids spitting on teachers in my day a kid done that hell he might have been spitting again but would have included some of his teeth as well. Start beating these kids asses again and testing these fuckers for drugs before getting welfare checks. And lets build some more jails while we are at it. The kind that make sure if you get out your ass don't ever want to return there. Then you grab ahold of one or the other of Mean Jean's ears and throw her ass to the street and get someone in there who looks these thugs in the eye and says you're going down asshole for 5 or more years.
ReplyDeleteBetter idea, don't break the law.
ReplyDeleteSept. 1 dateline: by the time this is on news stands the rioting will be over and the media will move on to the next shiny object.
ReplyDeleteYawn.
Anything happen last night on the Plaza or in Westport? Probably not, nothing is posted.
ReplyDeleteChris Rock knows his niggas and he tells it like it is.
ReplyDeleteSadly blacks don't listen to wisdom and good advice even from their own.
As a result they assault police officers and get themselves killed.
TKC Public Service Announcement:
ReplyDeleteThis Chris Rock segment has been rebroadcast in hopes of preventing another Michael Brown-type death.
