The latest presser from the Kansas City ATA: "UMKC students who are currently enrolled and have valid student ID have full access to MAX and The Metro." Tragically, this freebie offers a chance to learn more than a few life lessons regarding social disparity in and up-close and personal setting that hopefully doesn't include one of the many rampant beat downs that has been known to occur aboard Kansas City mass transit. The bus works very well for UMKC and rockhurst students. Also, the school of osteopathic medicine students can use the bus too. Everyone forgets there are other colleges in midtown besides UMKC. KCAI students don't get nothing free. Am I missing any other colleges?
ReplyDeleteOn the other side of the state line...Joco juco students don't even get a discount, nor does anyone at the KU regents center. Donnelly college, KCKCC, and KU med students get no discounts either. They don't even give student discounts in KCK or JOCO on the bus. You gotta be disabled to get any discount over there.
So stop yer complaining roos or inner city blight is gonna hop all over yous.
I do have to admit that when they let the nuns and the monk brothers, preachers and the priests and the rabbis on the bus most people behave. They should have a religious ordinance in full outfit ride free statute.
What would happen if a woman between the ages of 18-35 decided NOT to wear those idiotic running shorts and instead went with perhaps something madras?
ReplyDeleteLemmings. In thought, dress, and action.
At least they aren't wearing booty shorts.

ReplyDeletePerfect for the likes of a douche bag like Caleb !
Obviously, if the bus is free people will use it.
ReplyDeleteThe bus should be free to anyone who pays taxes of any kind in Kansas City.
UMKC should move across state line and bring its med school with it.
ReplyDeleteGive it a year and they can use the vacant Sprint prison campus.
