Authorities said an emotionally disturbed party stole the blue Ford Taurus around 2:30 a.m. It was seen traveling on eastbound Interstate 70, near Prospect, shortly after . . .
"Around 4:20 a.m., the Missouri Highway Patrol located the vehicle on the side of Interstate 35 between Bethany and Cameron. A shotgun was missing from the car."

A cop Cruiser shotgun is locked in order to be secured during driving for safety and easy drawing. He wouldn't have been able to remove it from the base.

The fun part was when I whipped into the city garage and they gassed the vehicle up. I almost got caught when I whipped into Krispy Kream. Damn there were a lot of cop cars there.

ReplyDeleteOnce again kctv5 displays their lack of talent and stupidity. Their morning anchors said that they didn't know who the person was, didn't know what kind of gun was missing, and asked the highway patrol sergeant if there were any witnesses.....ummm read your own article.

ReplyDeleteFunny how citizens who leave their car running in their driveways are in violation of the city law and are ticketed, but it appears the police can leave a city owned vehicle, specifically a police cruiser, and equipped with a shotgun in the vehicle while unattended. Well done again KCPD.
