For quite some time consultants posing as advocates have been paid to SPAM the Kansas City Internets with their propaganda about the toy train streetcar. Now online opposition is firing back with a funny bit of signage.
Check it:
Take a look at this kinda funny Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar opposition message making its way around the local Internets.
The truncated syllogism makes about as much sense as so many other tax scheme arguments put forward by toy train advocates and based on sketchy economic forecasts promoting a blank check on a toy train route that's yet to be determined but costing up to A BILLION DOLLARS. You decide which one is more ridiculous.
Nicole Ritchie doesn't want the train.

ReplyDeleteToday's Negro joke of the day:
ReplyDeleteA nigger and a spic fall from a tree, who hits the ground first?
The spic, the nigger never makes it because he's stopped by the rope.
It would cost $11 Million to create a state of the art modern bus upgrade downtown which would have made a $125 Million starter line unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteThis just shows that even Olathe communists hate the streetcar.
ReplyDeleteNo one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the CK public.
ReplyDeleteI love my Grandma.
ReplyDeleteWell, she's going to die if you don't vote to raise taxes every time our wise city leaders tell you to.
ReplyDeleteWith Detroit suffering from massive population loss and an inability to keep up its basic infrastructure (see the water crisis, or the city's many non-functioning traffic lights) it certainly seems odd to be spending tens of millions of dollars on a short new streetcar line.
ReplyDeleteYeah, weird that a depopulating city would spend money on an amenity proven to attract residents. They should probably do just what they've always done. It's been working so well.
ReplyDelete9:55 is wrong on both points. CK is not depopulating, it is growing and Streetcars do not attract residents, they attract tax abatements.
