Today @ City Hall a great many advocates for the homeless will make their case to the City Council . . .

We've got the sneak peek . . .

First and foremost . . .

WILL COUNCIL DUDE GLOVER GET SMACKED BY FORMER SUPPORTERS!!!

More than a few folks are angered by his stance on this issue . . .

Even better . . .

CHECK THIS TESTIMONY PREVIEW FROM AN ADVOCATE FOR THE KANSAS CITY HOMELESS WHO ALSO OPPOSES THIS UPCOMING ORDINANCE!!!

Here it is, expect to hear a lot more like this today . . .

"So now that Kansas City wants to make it illegal to give food to the homeless without a permit will it also be illegal to take a casserole to a friend who has just had surgery or to a family that has just lost a loved one? Kansas City really astonishes me sometime with it's stupidity. Fix our streets and sewers, solve some of the unsolved murders, prosecute criminals, clean up the gang situation, hire more officers would be something productive to do...not make it a crime to help someone in need."

  2. Glover is a worthless leader and ethnically challenged!

  3. 5:50 AM - Carnac the Magnificent ask what exactly has Jim Glover delivered in nearly two decades on the city council???? The answer is ZERO and The Glover Plan is a JOKE!

  4. The City of KCMO continues its war on poverty ... What is dancing RNC mayor position on this issue???

    ReplyDelete
  5. Sly hasn't taken a public position on this issue yet, but given his appearance, you'd have to guess he's a big supporter of free food.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I've said it before Glover is just plain low IQ dumb. While being smart has never been a prerequisite for being on the city council he takes it to a whole new level.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Glover will eat off anyone's plate at a lunch or dinner, so he has no concept of the need for health codes. Stupid motherfucker.

    ReplyDelete
  8. That Glove picture has to be a Pat O'Neill "creation."

    ReplyDelete
  9. Just wait until someone dies because some tainted or willfully poisoned food is donated anonymously. That kind of thing used to happen, which is why we have licensing requirements.

    1. That happens with store bought food !

  10. jeez...whatta asshat!

    ReplyDelete
  11. So that shows it is easy for it to happen. That is not a valid argument to lower health standards!

  12. Someone has to run against this bastard. Someone who is not just a puppet for Local 42. I would if I lived in the proper district to run for that at large seat.

    No. Don't be retarded.

"Kansas City really astonishes me sometime with it's stupidity."

Kansas City really astonishes me sometime with it's stupid knee-jerk residents.

"Fix our streets and sewers, solve some of the unsolved murders, prosecute criminals, clean up the gang situation, hire more officers would be something productive to do...not make it a crime to help someone in need."

This is about public safety just as much as your "issues" that you refuse to pay for, but are certainly content to whine about.

    Ok? Good. Glad that's settled.

All cities with similar regulations on the books.

Groups receive food donations after the food is expired and cannot be legally sold. Churches without proper storage facilities, so the donated food quickly gets worse. If public feeding is not regulated, then anyone can feed anything to the homeless.

There. I refuted your pointless argument and useless bitching in thirty seconds.

  15. I am certain the homeless will appreciate the city council's concern for their safety. I myself would prefer to starve rather than risk getting sick.

  16. You can thank the nut job Leslie Caplan for introducing this ordinance..she needs to get a life

    ReplyDelete
  17. Leslie isn't a nut job. These food sharing ministries make huge messes in our neighborhood, and she joined with other neighbors to ask city hall for a solution. In my opinion, that is the wrong approach. It is already illegal to serve food without a permit and/or litter, so all this ordinance does is piss off people who donate their time helping the homeless and point out that the city has failed at enforcing existing laws.

A better solution would be to partner with these ministries rather than attempt to over regulate them people put far too much faith and government.

By the way, I live in the 4th district.

  18. ElBryan- I agree with everything you said except that Leslie Caplan is not a nut job. She is a busy body who thinks she is Important because she is a neighborhood president..nobody wants that title unless you want to act important . Heard she is a hated skank in the hood

  20. Lol; I am neighborhood president of Indian mound. We share a border with Scarritt Renaissance. Granted, I didn't entirely want this title, but I can sympathize with Leslie on being judged for making tough decisions. We're never going to make everyone happy. I happen to disagree with her on this issue, but many over here are in support of the ordinance because we're all frustrated with the litter.

  21. Why put a ordinance in place that will never be enforced in KCMO? Crazy

    ReplyDelete
  22. Elbryan- I didn't realize your a neighborhood association president . In thought you were just a urban housewife.. WOW impressed

    ReplyDelete
  23. @elBryan, I live in the Indian Mound area also and I think this is very sad that the people over here is supporting this.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 10:19. You just figuring out that a few idiots in the northeast neighborhoods think they speak for everyone?that's why these scumbags want to have these BIG titles as neighborhood presidents

    ReplyDelete
  25. 12:07; not me. When I became Indian mound president by default, I rewrote the bylaws disallowing the board from endorsing ballot initiatives. I am personally against streetcar and have made it clear that many in the neighborhood who don't attend the meetings are against it. Indian Mound is 52% Hispanic but that is not reflected in our neighborhood association. It would be irresponsible to write letters endorsing streetcar in our neighborhood when studies have shown that public transit isn't even the top 10 concerns of residents. Food sharing isn't either, and in fact, I would argue that churches do as much or more for this community as the neighborhood association, so that is why I have refused to support this ordinance and I refuse to speak for anyone other than myself.
