Chron reports what could be the GREATEST GOP move in Missouri all year: "Sen. Rob Schaaf, of St. Joseph, and Rep. Paul Curtman, of Union, said they will serve as co-chairmen for the Protect Our Privacy campaign committee. Amendment 9 on Missouri's Aug. 5 ballot would require a warrant for police to search or seize anyone's "electronic data or communication." The measure would grant the same sort of privacy protections that already exist for searches of people and their property."

ReplyDeletethe Bear stands corrected.....fantastic....the proposed amendment is going to be on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteThe Polar Bear strongly suggest a YES vote on Aug 5th on this Amendment.
This is how it was under the old section 605 of the omnibus crimes act and we sure as hell managed to catch plenty of crooks. The idea that an LE officer can eavesdrop into your private correspondence and communication simply because he feels like it is just a bit too much like a communist regime. Since the forefathers wrote the constitution it seems such a bitch that we have to continuously introduce legislation reaffirming the validity of the U.S. Constitution. There should be no question, in a free America, that it is valid.
