KANSAS CITY MEASLES OUTBREAK!!!

Like it or not, Kansas City health is actually in decline amid the age of Obamacare. Even worse, a great deal of the spread of local disease can be blamed on advocates and conspiracy theorists against vaccinations AND NOT JUST THE MEXICANS everybody likes to scapegoat for everything wrong.

Check it:

Officials confirm 13 measles cases in KC area

Thirteen cases of the measles in the metro confirmed, two more cases probable

Deets:

"The people who have the disease have been asked to stay at home until it's clear that they won't infect anyone else. Health officials are providing them with vaccinations or immune globulin, to help fight off their potential infections.

Investigators had previous found a handful of cases in Clay County, Missouri, and Johnson County, Kansas. The people involved in the Clay County cases had recently returned from an overseas trip.

Experts urged people to make sure their children get the MMR vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps and rubella, or another version that also protects recipients from chicken pox."

Thankfully, the fear of this thing spreading is low and it looks like the local health dept. is on top of it . . . Which is nice even if antibacterial soap is probably gonna kill your germaphobe friends.

  6. 6:11, vaccines are linked to old age, hair loss, and off topic comments. You need to stop getting them.

  7. I used to get laid a lot, then I got vaccinated and it all stopped, coincidence? I think not!

  9. Back in school we called a classmate "mumps" because of his chubby cheeks. When is this classic disease making a comeback?

  11. What is the big deal? If you're pro-vaccine and you've had your shots, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. That's how vaccines used to work - they protected you when you were exposed to the illness. So vaccinate or don't and let people deal with their own decisions.

  12. Actually, the original cases in Clay County started with the infant contracting Measles after traveling overseas. The infant wasn't vaccinated because it was still under 12 months, and the CDC recommends that children don't get that vaccination (MMR or MMRV) until 12 months. The other two members in the family who contracted measles had previously been vaccinated; they contracted it anyway. So, this has nothing to do with the "anti-vaccine crowd". Do your research.
