The KCFD is locking in their cash before this town goes broke . . .
TAKE A LOOK AT ANOTHER KCFD ASK DESPITE FEWER FIRES AND A TOP HEAVY DEPARTMENT THAT HAS YET TO COMPLY WITH CITY MANAGER SUGGESTED CUTS!!!
City Council has agreed to put a 20-year renewal of that tax on the August ballot. Council members say this will help with long-range planning.
Oh yeah, let's not forget that the KCFD BUDGET ALREADY TOPS $24 MILLION WITH $7 MILLION DUE IN UNACCOUNTED OVERTIME SO FAR THIS YEAR ... Which has been mostly unreported by our Dead Tree Media tax pushing rag.
Developing . . .
Deal with it TKC. Firefighters vote and that's how they stay winning. Good for them! If people object, they can vote no. They usually don't.
ReplyDeleteCut the KCFD to three firefighters per truck and cut their budget until they've reduced their staffing to that level!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes it occur to anyone that these outrageous taxes are probably what keep people away from KC.
ReplyDeleteNope, it's the murders.
ReplyDeleteSo we're basically saying that the recent closure of two stations and reallocation of those firefighters did NOTHING to reduce overtime?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should look to privatize more than the just the billing services.
Equip each homeowner with a garden hose.
ReplyDeleteProblem solved.
Plus better service
Plus, no more firetrucks speeding to Price Chopper.
Polar Bear that is what some people would have us do because they want the rich to pay less.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing is it's not the rich that is having to pay
ReplyDeletefor most of this. It's the common taxpayer.
shit.
ReplyDeleteClose down the entire department.
ReplyDeleteLet KC burn to the ground.
Start fresh.
Privatize the abulance service and cut the KCFD budget!!!
ReplyDelete¡¡¡¡¡¿¿¿¿Louie's people STILL HANGING ON! SUCKING UP LOTS OF MONEY!!!!?
ReplyDeleteAudit.
ReplyDeleteNo audit needed. Simply ask for a list and the dollars spent over the last 5 years on Capital Improvements. The tax has been generating 15 million a year but they have only been spending 500,000 a year on capital projects.
ReplyDeleteJust because you have fewer fires, you don't change the way you fight them. Tactics, manpower and equipment remain the same. A burning house or building still burns the same regardless if it happens 5 times a day, or 2 times a year. Of course fat fuck Tony wouldn't have the first clue.
ReplyDeleteAl Capone would be proud of the way this city government works.
ReplyDeleteKCTG offers MOB tours in KC...any questions?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thekctours.com/gangster-tour.html
ReplyDeleteKCFD is a union based pool of self entitled pussy bitches, backed by lobbyist, which is the mob.
ReplyDeleteGet the city out of the fire service and have a private group run it. Will see a huge reduction in costs.
