KC Biz Journal brings us a bit of gov. irony: "Six former employees of the Internal Revenue Service pleaded guilty this week to claiming unemployment benefits while they were working for the IRS. All six are from the Kansas City area and are no longer employed by the IRS . . . All six defendants pleaded guilty to stealing government property. Under the plea agreement, each defendant will pay restitution for the amount received in illegal benefits. In total, the six defendants claimed $66,030 in unemployment benefits."

Ever notice how the government always receives restitution while the rest of us shlubs that are the victims of theft, robbery, vandalism, whatever, get nothing generally?
ReplyDeleteWhat are these fucking genius' names?? Everyone should know who they are....Fucking thieves!
ReplyDeleteAm I getting this right? A government employee steals and the penalty is "give it back"? Man oh Man! The benefits included in government employment!!!

ReplyDeleteYour Honor, with all due respect, my client never was "working" at the IRS during the time period she was drawing unemployment. Yes, she was physically present at the office, but she was never working!
Motion to dismiss all charges and see to it that my client returns to her prior position with damages for these false accusations.
Following the fine example of their leaders all the way to the top!

ReplyDeleteNot to worry. They have thousands and thousands of social security numbers and will make a nice living off selling your identity. Oh, and by the way, you will get no restitution when they do.
ReplyDeletePlease explain this to me. if you owe the IRS you pay them what you owe plus innterest and their interest rate is worse than Payday Loans and a loan shark. But, if they owe you money you just get money no interest. Helluva' deal.
ReplyDeleteDoes the government garnish welfare or food stamps?
