TKC TIPSTERS CONFIRMED!!! LA TIMES REPORT: TECH TRUMPS TIPS IN THE CASE AGAINST KANSAS CITY HIGHWAY SNIPER!!!

Special THANKS this morning to the AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS who helped us reveal TECH METHODS BEHIND THE CAPTURE OF THE KANSAS CITY HIGHWAY SNIPER before any other media outlet in the nation.

Right now . . .

CHECK THIS LA TIMES REPORT WHICH CONFIRMS TKC TIPSTERS TALKING TECH AND THE CAPTURE OF THE ALLEGED KANSAS CITY HIGHWAY SNIPER!!!

Here's the report . . .

How technology helped crack the Kansas City highway shooter case

Money line . . .

"Investigators plugged the plate number into a database for license-plate readers. Kansas City police have such automatic readers installed on their cars. Such readers photograph license plates and log the time, location and date of the encounter, feeding millions of plate numbers into a massive database that has drawn criticism from civil-liberties advocates as a potential invasion of privacy. The scanners record any plate they detect, not just those potentially linked to wrongdoing."

In other words . . . Exactly what TKC TIPSTERS TOLD US FIRST!!!

On the downside, this probably means more surveillance on local streets after this high profile tech win.

  2. What about the spot-shooter program? Why didn't that work? How much did that cost?

  3. The Sot-Sptter equipmenrt doesn't help much because it was paid for by a transportation grant and had to be installed along bus routes.
It's good at tracking buses, though!
Just one of the very many ways KCMO spends money on equipment, nonprofits, and endless programs making believe they're going to curb the violence, and just keeps on spending even though murders stay above 100 year after year.
    Good press conference stuff.

  4. Let's take a look at what we know from the PC statement.

LE had any number of tips including:

    description of shooter
    description of shooter vehicle
    shooter vehicle tag number
recovered shell casing from almost every shooting site
recovered shell box and casing with shooters finger prints on the box

Nothing hi-tech about any of the this. Just a matter of putting the dots together. Even KCPD could figure this one out. License plate readers are great for hitting parking lots at Hooters for outstanding warrants as may black hood rats like to frequent Hooters to look at the tender young white ho's.

Many thought it was insightful to learn LE followed the shooter to Bazookas. One has to wonder if they paired up in a booth for some up close surveillance?

  5. The KCPD is not about to use license plate readers to look for outstanding warrants or stolen autos. Way too much work.

  6. When one is driving down the public roads you have the same as no stance of any claims to invasion of privacy. If we can film the cops then it's only fair they can do the same in return when out on the streets.

  7. Don't see why anyone gets so worked up about cameras, tag cams, or any of that bullshit.

If your not breaking the law, chances are pretty good that they law won't be breaking you.

Chances of someone getting jacked by a hood rat would be much greater than a cop.

  8. The cops were given a description of the shooter and the car (with specific damage), an out-of-state license plate number, the location where the shooter had thrown out a Walmart bag with receipt, fingerprints and shell casings. The public did everything but figure out where that car parked at night.

  9. There are a lot of reasons we should not allow unlimited use of license plate data. Any critic of the KCPD might be tracked for embarrassing situations. Political opponents of the mayor or council might be tracked. Even executives of companies who are competitors to the favored established companies could be at risk. Anyone who thinks our police and elected officials are above this type of activity is being naïve.

    One Thing Is For Certain:

The license tag for Eric Holder will NOT be scanned anywhere near the Mohammed Pedro Whitaker story!
