KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ FEARS MISSOURI NULLIFICATION ORDER HB 1439 MIGHT SPIKE KANSAS CITY VIOLENT GANG ACTIVITY!!!

Recently, KCPD Chief Forté penned a thoughtful answer to critics like TKC who are suspicious of any form of gun control and EXPLAINED how Missouri gun nullification might impact local law enforcement efforts to curb violent crime in Kansas City.

Check it:

Bill would harm federal partnerships that reduce violent crime

Here are just a couple of important passages:

"I want to make clear that I support the Second Amendment, and I support the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. But parts of this legislation, dubbed “The Second Amendment Preservation Act,” do little to support the rights of lawful gun owners. Instead, it hinders some of the best tools we in municipal law enforcement have – federal partnerships – to reduce violent crime . . ."

"Last year, our Gang Squads arrested 21 violent gang members with the assistance of federal partners. They were charged on hundreds of federal counts – many of them weapons charges. So far this year, nine gang members have been arrested and charged with 66 federal counts. If HB 1439 were to pass, we could not continue this kind of enforcement, and gang activity would undoubtedly increase in Kansas City."

Read the statement from the Chief in its entirety ... And tell us, do you think gun control is the solution to Kansas City's problems???

  2. The "Chief" is making excuses for his department being totally ineffective without Big Brother holding his hand.

Fire this fucking Stepin Fetchit fool!

  3. Let's just sink half a billion into streetcar extensions instead of law enforcement, and other things related to public safety that need to be done.

  5. The idea that I am to believe that these hoodlums can not be dealt with unless the Feds are prosecuting them is such a stretch that it hurts me to believe the the Chief actually thinks the public is that fucking stupid. Second, if the Feds want to enforce gun laws how about prosecuting a few of those ATF morons that are responsible for violations that resulted in Federal Agents being off'd in Mexico.

With that said, the State legislature must already be getting high on their own bullshit if they think they can nullify Federal firearms legislation. If these legislators don't look like a bunch of snake worshiping red necks from 1940's Alabama I'm a monkey's uncle.

  6. Someone ought to tell the chef that local dicks have no problem whatsoever using federal laws when playing the asset forfeiture game without the need for federal agents. What's the difference with gun laws?

  7. Interesting point given that police officers take an oath to uphold the laws and constitution of the United States.

  8. What's all this fuss about nun nullification?

I remember when the police just concentrated on law and order and stayed out of religion altogether!

I guess Chief Forte isn't Catholic. Gosh darn it, I don't care what religion a person follows, or if they even believe in God, nobody should be harassed by the police because of their faith!

I'll be contacting Father O'Flaherty about this tomorrow. Good day.

  11. Chief Forte WHY could you not

continue to enforce the LAW ?

No, this sound like another of a

long line of excuses. More of the

    same.

    Nothing new here.

  12. Want to stop gang bangers. Just run license plates in the inner city. Probably 10% are stolen autos with a couple of little thugs inside with guns. But no, that is way too much work, someone might get hurt and besides stealing a car is not really a crime in CK.

  13. Funny if you actually read the bill it states Law Enforcement shall not infringe on the rights of LAW ABIDING citizens. How silly of me to think that Gang Members are part of a CRIMINAL organization, hence they are not Law Abiding....... Man I think I need to stop thinking for myself and let the "State" do my thinking for me.

  14. You can't fire Forte, you can try but if you look at an attachment Melba Curls attached to a bill that passed Jefferson City, his legal rights far out way the BPC strength. He has all the power and can draw it out in court forever. The only way to get rid of him is not to renew his contract when it comes up. But think about the backlash from the minority community. Sorry you are stuck with this guy.
