TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! KANSAS CITY TOP 5 QUESTIONS: LOCAL MUSIC SCENE POWER PLAYER KC CASSI TALKS WITH TKC!!!

With better connections, insight and details than local mainstream media KC Cassi has become the preeminent social media music lady in Kansas City among local bands.

She has thousands of friends and followers and her reviews an interviews are coveted by just about every local band starting out in the Kansas City area. Over the years she has taken her social media presence to amazing levels and scored some pretty great chats and backstage access with a diverse range of artists ranging from established acts to trendy emo bands.

Right now . . .

THANKS TO KC CASSI FOR ANSWERING THESE TKC TOP 5 QUESTIONS FOR SUNDAY!!!

Check it:

1. What's your favorite thing about the KC Music Scene?

Definitely the mixed bag of talent we have here. So much unseen talent waiting to be discovered rockin' literally every genre, is exactly why I strive to get KC some attention.

2. What's the best feedback you have received from your Internets presence?

Hmm. That one is hard simply because people say very nice things about the site. While I appreciate and am humbled by them all, I think hearing "She is Local Music Royalty" and "KC Cassi is Kansas City" really melted my heart the most. I think people appreciate when you are genuine and real, and I strive to never waiver in those traits.

3. What's your favorite music accessory?

Oh my review hat no doubt! This Fedora, circa 1970 something, became my possession after a hazy night in Westport in the Union. While I did not come with the hat, I did leave with it and ever since, it has joined me on each review! (2 pictures attached)

4. Do you have any rules about trashing local bands?

Trashing bands does absolutely nothing good for the music community. If a band request a review and I really just hate it and wouldn't give it more than 2/5 stars, I just tell them band. I explain what I don't like, suggestions and always remember them that reviews are solely an opinion from a half metal, half hippie woman from Kansas City. When it comes to local bands, be empowering with your words and give them constructive criticism to help them achieve a better sound.

5. What can we expect from KC Cassi in the future?

2014 has already kicked off to be a great year for KC Cassi. With an investment buyer I now have an officer building on Merriam Drive (Merriam, KS) to operate out of. You should except to see some cool performances coming out of that building as well. Ultimately my goal is to simply support the dreamers and doers to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. I am truly happy seeing other people genuinely happy! Lastly, the 2nd annual 2014 KC Cassi Honors show is set for Nov 8th at Trouser Mouse Bar Blue Springs, MO again. Last year we just about packed the house, paid every band to play, gave away free recording time from local studios but this year KC Cassi and Chapman Recording Studios have joined forces in an exclusive relationship. With Chapman introducing the "KC Cassi Special" You can also check out more details in April's printed edition of Demencha Magazine next month! (special pic attached). As long as there is music in KC to support, KC Cassi will be around :)

Quick, name one great band that came from Kansas City?

And if you say the Rainmakers I might just laugh my balls off.

Sweet Jesus, even Cleveland has birthed some great bands.

Actually, I did think of one.. Paw, from Lawrence was pretty kick ass.

Seems local bands have either taken to being exponentially faggish (SSion) or wearing dresses on stage (Making Movies) to get "buzz."
