SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY SNOW FAIL SUNDAY!!! PLOWS UNSEEN IN NEIGHBORHOODS!!!

As if to add insult to injury, today's snow caps off a week of sub-par performance for Kansas City snow removal.

To wit . . .

THE TKC BLOG COMMUNITY COMPLAINING LOUD AND CLEAR ABOUT SUNDAY SNOW REMOVAL FAIL AND VIRTUALLY NO HELP FROM THE CITY TODAY!!!

Message to TKC pretty much follow the same pattern . . .

Here's a sample:

"TKC, have you seen a snow plow today? It's amazing that we're getting a significant snowfall and the city seems asleep at the wheel. Not a single snow-plow on my Mid-town street. What happened? Did we just give up? Is Kansas City content to just wait for Spring?"

I'm not sure if that's the official Kansas City strategy . . .

However . . .

A FEW CALLS TO KANSAS CITY INSIDERS REVEAL THAT THE CITY IS DEALING WITH SIGNIFICANTLY FEWER SNOW REMOVAL FORCES THIS SUNDAY!!!

It's hard for me to tell the difference but you d-bags are complaining loud and clear and we know for a fact that Mayor Sly doesn't like to work on Sunday and apparently isn't really enthused about answering more questions on sub-par snow removal. Natch.

Developing . . .

I'm not sure if "unseen" is the right word but they are a rare sighting. Kind of like a Yeti.

  4. Hey Tony, why did you start moderating comments on the Clinton Adams post?

    Who got to ya?

In KC, snow plows on Sunday are like unicorns!

  7. If you call about a street a city worker will likely say "just tweet it".

  8. No need for plows--snow's ending--almost nothing. It'd be crazy to send plows out for an inch(or less) of snow.

  9. It's been 3 inches for today. My wife told me, believe me she knows three inches when she sees it.

  10. All the plow drivers joined Sherri in Spain

  11. I drove on some streets east of troost this weekend and they looked like they had never been touched by a plow.

  12. They don't have snow plows on Indian Reservations so why do you expect to see snow plows in Kansas City?

  13. Troy Schulte = Fail as a city manager.

  14. True dat.

  15. I have low expectations for anything that is connected with KCMO city hall. I'm rarely disappointed.

  16. KCMO biggest success is their consistently for failure. Their consistently for disappointment is running a close second.

  17. KansasCityFAIL under Sly James. What else is new.

  18. +1 5:44pm Kansas City rarely, if ever rises above the low expectations consistently set by uncapped examples failure.

  19. What's the Polar Bears position on KC snow plows ?

  22. Snow plows. What snow plows? We ain't seen no god damn snow plow. The mexican down the street with a shovel isn't considered a snow plow is he ? Fuck Kansas City. You want snow plow you better damn well plan on doing it yourself.

  25. Funny 302. Might be wasted here.

Hey, I am having NO problems. Sun in 48 hours. Relax.

Odd thing about this blog. When my grandfather starts bitching again, and again, and again, we make funny faces and leave the room.

    Too much bitching here.

  26. Neighborhood is a mess but the main streets were OK. Inconvenient to worry about high centering on a river of snow on my street but I can live with it if the main drags are basically clear.

  27. I live in Kansas City. The house I am buying is two blocks from i 35. Nice homes / nice wide street that used to get plowed immediately because there was a fire captain living a few houses down. He retired about 5 years ago and the plows have NEVER been back. And yet, my taxes increase!! I love this place!!
