Take a look at Kansas City's video pitch for the GOP Convention 2016.
Deets:
"Kansas City is ready to bring the Republican National Convention back to America's Heartland. With its world-class facilities, revitalized downtown, unparalleled transit and logistics capabilities and more than 32,000 hotel rooms, the Kansas City spirit of hard work, creativity and hospitality is ready to host the most successful RNC in history."
Garrett Haake: Kansas City officially submits bid for 2016 Republican convention
Lately, this town hasn't been able to deliver services, facilitate voter feedback or even make good on promises for a a simple website . . . But there's no denying that Mayor Sly and City Hall are expert on promoting a good party.
How much did THAT cost us ?
ReplyDeletewhat a joke, what theyre missing is a pack of about 150 black kids running down the street playing the knock out game with mostly white conventioneers now that would be perfect .. maybe sly's kid and tech9 could lead it
ReplyDeleteWas that Mark Mangino as the bag man?
ReplyDeleteI like the part where the surface-to-air missile from Denver shoots down the jet with Mayor Sly aboard.
"If this is how we treat taxpayer funds, imagine what we'll do for you!"
"KC 2016: ALL LOADS OF CRAP LEAD TO HERE"
"All Roads Lead to Here." There appears to be one too many words in that slogan. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteWith an ape-like mayor, more crime than anywhere, and the filth that is Kansas City, it is more than doubtful that KC will ever see a major convention.
ReplyDeleteExcept for Bill George, it looked like there were a lot of the "will work for food" crowd.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed they took the time to assemble a crowd whose demographics EXACTLY mirror those of the Republican Party. BRAVO!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere were the Hispanics?
ReplyDeleteLooked more like the crowd that will be PROTESTING at the RNC in KC.
ReplyDeleteMark Holland hasn't done shit yet... but he sure does look good with sly's hand up his ass. What a puppet.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the downtown grocery store mark?
Where's the property tax relief mark?
Please, someone re-edit this video with the COPS theme song "Bad Boys"
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if I weren't from Kansas City, my thoughts would be:
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty small group of excited people.
Wow, are these cops rushing to a crime scene, or is this a funeral motorcade?
"All Roads Lead Here,"? That's interesting. I'd be much more interested if they had a streetcar or a light rail. Can we check on that??
Check out the upside down sign 8 seconds in.
ReplyDeleteHosting the GOP 16 in KC would be a disaster. But priceless to watch.
ReplyDeleteThe cornball slogan "all roads lead to here" ... crikey, for as much as this promo must have cost us, why did they hire somebody who speaks English as a second language to come up with that? All roads lead to inadequate edumacation is more like it.
ReplyDeleteWhen the mob was running things we had the amenities convention attendees wanted. Now we have BBQ and Science City.
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, when good Christian Republicans come to town to party, what they really want is a good blow job.
ReplyDeleteDid someone say good blowjob ? Pootie Tang be providing ho's well trained at da cocksucking. Pootie has ho's to go. Pootie will have ho's in parking lots, mini storage units, freight cars, elevators, grain silos...Pootie even have ho's in the 5-0's backseats. Need a good blowjob. Call Pootie Tang, KC's Pimp of Pimps. Call now...1-800-PUSSYMAN.
ReplyDeleteAnd one of the host committee members was quoted in the Star as saying "the taxpayer contribution to this will be minimal".
ReplyDeleteIn other words, KCMO/KCK taxpayers are screwed.
Grab your wallets!
This video doesn't seem to capture a real coherent message. If "all roads lead to here" was the supposed be the message, this video didn't convey it. I agree with Hyperblogal... how much did this cost?
ReplyDeleteIS it still there?
