Okay, let's do that math . . .
When we started our rampage against the P&L District they were excluding po'folk and wanting patrons to provide credit cards before gaining admission.
The legacy of the discriminatory dress code was in full effect . . .
NOW THE P&L DISTRICT HAS BEEN NOTHING MORE THAN A PUBLIC EMBARRASSMENT FOR KANSAS CITY AND LOSES ANYWHERE FROM $14 TO 20 MILLION A YEAR!!!
CONCLUSION: THE TKC BLOG COMMUNITY WON THE BOYCOTT AND WE'VE TOTALLY DEMONSTRATED THAT PO'FOLK AND MINORITIES CAN IMPACT DOWNTOWN BIZ!!!
But I'm a kind and merciful soul whose intentions are good but often misunderstood . . .
Therefore . . . We're wondering if it's time to declare victory in this fight against the P&L District given that we've made our point that discriminating against po'folk and minorities isn't profitable.
What do you d-bags think?
Good song.
ReplyDeleteDouche.
Nope. Wish the taxpayers could boycott it too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe KJ could do a rap about it.
ReplyDeleteI think you misrepresent stuff like nobody's business, you're a huge psychopathic liar, nobody has paid any attention to this ignorant joke, and that there is always more and it is always worse from you.
ReplyDeleteThat clear enough for you?
That area is like a pimple on the ass, you know it's there but you can't reach it to do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteBoycott or not it would have still failed
boycott didnt do a dam thing they are still making money and doing busin ess
ReplyDeleteUmm, it's not the Power and Light District that is losing money. It's the city losing the money Tony you fool.
ReplyDeleteIf they're not losing money. Why aren't they generating enough revenue to help pay off the bonds?
ReplyDeleteYou guys should do just a little research.
"there is always more and it is always worse"
ReplyDeleteHasn't stopped you from coming back every day for the past 3 months, has it?
I wanna hear Byron's opinion on the matter.
ReplyDeleteI will go back when David Cook comes back and not until!
ReplyDeleteha - like your 'boycott' has achieved anything (outside of your own mind)!
ReplyDeleteTourism as a business model for running the state serves the oligarchy that wrote a plan for funnel cakes and go carts to raise the conservative base.
ReplyDeleteConclusion:
ReplyDeletetony is an idiot. He doesn't know how to write any more than he knows how to get his ass out of his mommy's basement. Sad and pathetic as always tony.
Like most people I come here to laugh at the stupidity of this blog. Another post that comes through without any intelligence. Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? PL was thriving when it first opened. So what if they wanted a dress code. How often do you see dress codes at urban night clubs? All the time, and nobody complains there.
ReplyDeleteOnce the dress code was axed and all the drama about it appeared then we started to see a few shootings out front and its just gone downhill since. Its still a fun place, but cmon.
Good job, boycott PL and lower the tax revenues for the city. I really dont think there was a boycott though I never heard of one.
Is the dress code and credit card check over? I guess we could declare the boycott over... though it was destined to fail. If the city had stayed out the artist community would have revitalized the area for them. They should have never knocked down the Stray Cat.
ReplyDeleteP&L = Profit & Loss
ReplyDeleteLet's just start calling it the "L District" or "Loss District"

ReplyDeleteThe over sized cut out of the 'country girls' would make it impossible for me to enter. I would be too embarrassed to be seen in such a fake, plastic place. The few times I do go out, I prefer Irish Pubs, & the company of the poor.
Where ever you go Byron, bet you find the dead pecker bench, sit down and sniff old farts. pussy.
DeleteThey need to get some decent looking women in that place and not all the north kc heifers. That is what they could do to improve business.
ReplyDeleteThe Irish Pub's here would be embarrassed to have you. Now there are some "places" on Troost or Prospect that you might enjoy.
ReplyDeletekeep up the boycott!
ReplyDeleteand keep the burrito fart pollution down there on SW Blvd.
your boycott? I just sprayed my screen with some tasty roastarie coffee.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to boycott is not to show up to power and light and give that venue your money...it simple, no lip service needed.
ReplyDeleteByron only travels where young boys catch the school bus. Or where battered wives go for help. That's how Byron, the wife beating, child molester rolls.
ReplyDeleteSO JUST WHAT FUND DOES THE MONEY COME FROM TO PAY FOR THE POWER&LIGHT?

ReplyDeleteIt gives me great pleasure to know that no one here speaks, or thinks, like you do. No one that I know obsesses about the people they meet online, nor has such an all consuming need to feel superior while, at the same time, proving that they're not, by such sad libel. We're not hip. We're not cool.
Perhaps, if you didn't live in a big city, you wouldn't have this pathological need to compete. We walk, talk & think slower.
The violence, along with your other problems, would naturally extend from this pathological need of 400,000 plus people to be superior to everyone else. It can't work.
Just as pretending that the water in Kansas won't run out, or the oil won't run out, or pretending that the check won't come due for all of this circuses built for the vanity of the ruling class. It won't work. It can't work.
Off topic crazy man. You know all about things that won't or can't work.
ReplyDeleteBut, you don't think 10:14's comment was off topic, or crazy? Or yours?
ReplyDeleteOff topic ,yes. On target, absolutely.
ReplyDeleteDon’t feed the troll
ReplyDeleteMs. 11:11
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't on target. He's just a pervert.
10:54 was on target.
ReplyDeleteBoycott lift means TKC must be getting Katy Perry tickets.
ReplyDeleteI love your layout. Beautiful blog, keep up the awesomeness!
ReplyDeleteblog money.
As soon as the niggers moved in the people with money moved out. Plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteThere is a boycott at P&L?
ReplyDeleteCan you boycott something you have never been to and will never got to?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter about the boycott personally. I am not going down there to pay for parking and dine in a chain restaurant with inflated prices. I can eat and drink a lot closer to home.
ReplyDeleteI look at what the P&L is, what it offers, and how it is run. Wouldn't patronize it if my life depended on it. The thing is a douchebag emporium. Would be if it were privately financed, is even more so because the taxpayers of Kansas City are paying dearly for it. It's also very obviously failing. Cut the loses and send in the bulldozers. It could be something useful, like a parking lot.
