KCI Single-Terminal Scheme Could Destroy Local Civil War Era Slave History

Eric Chaloux offers this alternative tax on the ongoing KCI debate: "The Watkins Foundation is a group with connections to the slaves and plantation owners who lived and died on the property now designated as airport grounds. They want that history to be remembered in any possible expansion."

  1. Yeah, and I think there's an old Native American (read Indian) burial ground up there where they want to build the new terminal! You know, that successfully stalled out the South Lawrence Freeway project for years.
