TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CRITICS REMIND KANSAS CITY: TOY TRAIN STREETCAR LAWSUIT STILL IN PLAY!!!

Just a quick note that's worth sharing and should fact check so much Downtown fixed rail transit hype . . .
ADVOCATES FOR KANSAS CITY DEMOCRACY REMIND US THAT THE FIGHT AGAINST THE TOY TRAIN STREETCAR CONTINUES!!!
Here's the note from insiders . . .
"TKC . . . Look on casenet . . . The streetcar lawsuit is still in play. The Missouri Supremes are thinking over whether or not they want to take the case as a matter of public interest for all of Missouri. This is great. No bonds can be issued yet and no major construction work or utility location can start."
Mainstream media is complicit in making this thing look like a done deal but it seems that the fight continues against a rigged election and a horrible plan to bring back tragically old tech to Downtown Kansas City Streets for the benefit of consultants and engineering companies.
Developing . . .
Some good news for a change, eh?
ReplyDeleteWell one would hope the court would take it on as a public interest which is what it really is and by doing so would set in motion how other cities take a look at how they decide on what they use taxpayers dollars on.
ReplyDeleteThe supremes will smack down this folly.
ReplyDeleteTKC tipster = Sticky keyboard owner Bryan Stalder. Note to Stalder, when (and if) you get a real job, you won't be able to sit at home and jerk-off and tweet all day while your wife is out working to put food on the table for you and your kids. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteCity goin to hell and Sly wants a toy train.
ReplyDeleteBlacks killin black and terrorizing even more whites and Sly concentrates on a train.
A tiny train at that.
If I am afraid of my family gettin assualted by feral young negroids what the hell do I want to ride a train in kc for.
tell me that.
Right; I'm apparently the only person in Kansas City who is opposed to the streetcar.
ReplyDeleteI actually have nothing to do with this tip. It's interesting that rather than address the topic at hand, you'd resort to personal insults. Hilarious, by the way, that my family's choice to make sacrifices so that we could adopt children and raise a family of six on one income is something you would choose to target.
Hope you had a great holiday in The Loop.
The only hope is that the court will stop it. Notice how Sly is spending money like it is a done deal; consulting contracts, bridge replacement, etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if the court takes the case and everything has to stop until it's over? It could take over a year. Do the taxpayers get a refund of all the money spent? Can you sell an unneeded streetcar on craigslist?
ReplyDeleteRemember, the first decision isn't about if the supreme court will throw out the streetcar or not. The first decision is on if there's a reason to take up the case or to send it back to the trial court.
ReplyDeleteSo it's fair to call it in play, but it's equally fair to say that the supreme court only heard arguments two months ago. It may not be enough time to do thorough research on the subject and handle everything that came before it.
what the fuck is up with this god damn motherfucking "toy train" shit ? every fucking day...toy train this toy train that, toy train, toy train. Fuck a "toy train"...
ReplyDeleteTo 9:41pm.
ReplyDeleteThe city fully funded the project. The TDD being thrown out can't stop the project at this point. It went beyond the point of no return a month ago.
It would mess with city funding in general though.
So why is main street being dug so deep when streetcars only need a base of 12"? Looks like someone is putting in light rail,or they would not have to dig so deep.
ReplyDeleteCity Hall kept going for Light Rail and the cost is to high with not enough density, but it looks like they are still trying. No wonder the cost is so high. Someone need to ask why the bridge cost are so high to North Kansas City. They wanted Burlington instead of Swift to run Light Rail to the Northland This study has been done before and the taxpayers are paying for it again.
Now everyone know why the neighborhood don't have any money.
ReplyDeleteThe bus system ,the Fire Dept etc. what's hould be spent as it should be is used as the city want's.
Even thought I know nothing about the law and have never even seen, much less read, the Missouri state constitution, I'm sure the Supreme Court will throw this out because change scares me.
ReplyDeleteYet another boondoggle for the crooks that run this town. Who benefits? Not me!
ReplyDeleteto 12:26am.
ReplyDeletethe bridge cost is high because it's a mile long. it will cost $50 million just in distance costs, that's before making sure the bridge can support the weight.
basic logic
