    I quit carrying a purse years ago, while out shopping. My wallet goes to an inside pocket of my jacket. I carry my keys (with spray attachment) in my hand, and stare in the eye everyone I encounter. I may look scary to some, but I will not be a willing victim. Even with the numbers of times we see stories like this one, I still see women leaving their purses (wide open even) in shopping carts. I still see women on their cell phones with no attention to their surroundings walking across parking lots.

    This woman is lucky she wasn't killed. Shame on those people who drove by and ignored her. Special place in hell for those cowards.
