# of times I have ate the that airport: 0. Food, shopping, ANYTHING when you’re stuck on a layover is a much needed time killer. Atlanta, Denver, Dallas … I've spent way more time at those locations waiting on a connecting flight then I care to compute. If you land at KCI,MCI (whatever) and that’s not your final destination 9/10 times you’re not even getting off the plane.
A meaningful report would be HOW MUCH TIME people spend at that airport. Checkin vs. departure. Layovers. (Excluding delayed flights) Then compare that to monies spent on food. Not drinks. Not the snacks you buy to eat on the plane prior to getting on it. An actual meal! I guarantee 90%+ of people flying into or out of MCI don’t eat there and it’s not because there are a lack of eateries. Actually screw it. Let the powers that be blow some more money. Then I can read about it on TKC and feel the need to post another comment.
4:41 and 6:08 - Dead on! We are not a hub and fewer airports are. MCI works the way it is - please don't piss our $$ away on some stupid imagined need.
It's sad that we have to prove to city leaders what anyone else with a brain already knows.
ReplyDeleteEateries at KCI are a total rip off. You get Kmart food at Bomwhit-Teller prices AND SERVICE WITH AN ATTITUDE..
ReplyDeletePut a barbecue joint in and they will come.
ReplyDeleteHey honey what ya say we go up to KCI for dinner tonight!
People don't even feel like eating at bus stops so why would they want to eat at an airport?
ReplyDeleteI prefer to starve then eat airport food. Any airport food.
ReplyDeleteThe toy train will fix it.
ReplyDelete3:31 I normally don't pick on grammar but you mean "than."
