ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this seems to be her "schtick" as she seemingly has decided "who could argue with a sympathetic liberal loving female?"
Well Ms. Sanchez, your reasoning is so defective, that following your logic, we should all voluntarily relinquish our legal rights and submit to euthanasia now.
Because a very small minority of Americans commit crimes with firearms, we should restrict the majority? Because a small minority of Americans drive while under the influence, should we restrict the driving of the majority? Because a small minority of Americans commit adultery, perjury, financial, assault, rape, etc., you wish to restrict the rights of the majority? Isn't there a basic tenet of American jurisprudence known as "innocent until proven guilty?" Ms. Sanchez, your protocol would reverse this to "guilty until proven innocent."
And who would you vest with these powers to restrict our rights? The federal government? The government currently headed by an organized crime figure from Chicago? An attorney general who hasn't located Wall Street in nearly five years? The President who kills innocents with drones, and who chose to vacation in Hawaii rather than cast a crucial vote on a crime bill while serving in the IL legislature? Are American soldiers still in Afghanistan/Iraq? Did we overthrow the government of Libya and kill their leader? Did we nearly invade Syria, and continue to fund/arm the insurgents there?
I'll stop here, but that's merely scratching the surface. Ms. Sanchez please don't be so callous and eager to give up your rights, or mine either!
