AS KANSAS CITY RECORDS ANOTHER HOMICIDE TONIGHT THE QUESTION GOES OUT: WILL THIS COWTOWN MARK 100 MURDERS IN 2013 OVER THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY?!?!
The deadly shooting just reported:
KCTV5: Police said one person is dead after a shooting in a northeast Kansas City neighborhood.
KMBC: Police: 1 dead in apparent shooting in KC neighborhood
KSHB: Police find man shot dead in KCMO street
Fox4: Police investigating homicide on Cypress Avenue
Unofficially, this is the 98th homicide so far this year which is EXACTLY THE SAME NUMBER as this time last year . . . Which indicates ABSOLUTELY NO PROGRESS in curbing this tragic and ongoing Kansas City trend.
Already we've noticed things getting violent as the holiday gets closer . . .
There have been a string of bank robberies around town but this one near Independence Ave. seemed the most brazen.
Despite stupid stereotypes about cold weather . . . The reality is . . .
KANSAS CITY DESPERATION AND VIOLENCE INCREASED AMID THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND THE 4TH QUARTER VIOLENCE SPIKE CONTINUES!!!
This might be another reason to hold family and friends closer and also take a bit more caution amid local holiday adventures . . .

Thanksgiving violence typically increases around the holidays. It's actually quite common. The cold weather myth is easily disproved by a cursory analysis of crime statistics in KCMO and other major metropolitan areas.

This is the worst news of all for KC. I've seen some really commendable efforts to try and curb this problem but it's sad to see that nothing has worked so far.

ReplyDeleteI was just on the Avenue tonight going to Knuckleheads where many white people congregated to listen to music and have a good time. Amazingly, none of us shot anybody. And 10:12, you probably aren't that familiar with Parsons,KS but I am. There are a surprising number of black people there, left over from when Parsons was a railroad town. Now it's just a shithole. Anyways, it's not surprising this happened. Look at the woman. She had three black kids already. All you people that want to cry the "racism" tag, this is what happens when you are around enough black people for a long enough time. You WILL be the victim of violence. It's not a matter of if, but when. It will happen.
