KC isn't a major market. It's a secondary market. Plus the city's with most growth didn't and don't need google fiber and toy trains to do so.
ReplyDeleteThe only area where we are experiencing growth is in hype, bullshit, and covering up the fact there is no real growth.
ReplyDeleteWhere are all these high paying jobs Forbes was talking about?
ReplyDeleteShit even Detroit beat us out at #59
ReplyDeleteSilly people. Everybody knows the whole reason is because we didn't have a trolley running between downtown and 16th & Vine. I could not possibly be the red light cams, earnings taxes, hotel, car rental and breathing taxes no one wants to deal with. Right?
ReplyDeleteHuh? Every time I see Sly on TV or YouTube or in the Paper he's saying we are the greatest city on earth.
ReplyDeleteDetroit and Stockton rank higher than us?
ReplyDeletePhew boy
Cult of personality means pissing on your leg and telling you it's raining.
ReplyDeleteWe have a 400lb weight on our shoulders and its called Sly James. Rid yourselves of him and the dark cloud is lifted. Pun intended.
ReplyDelete"Where does an 800 lb. gorilla sit?"
ReplyDelete"Anywhere it wants to."
That many of the inhabitants of CKMO would acknowledge were making real progress is itself a propaganda victory.
ReplyDeleteI guess these wars didn't work out for KC.
ReplyDeleteWe need to hurry so we can catch up to Stockton and Detroit!!
ReplyDeleteThe plan for 18th & Vine (if any) should be investment in the Crossroads that encourages growth to the east. Personally I preferred the quieter Crossroads of 7 years ago when you could actually find parking but it is what it is. Leverage existing growth and stop trying to create it by throwing money away in an area most people currently don’t care to venture.
