Golden Ghetto Congressman Kevin Yoder Calls Out Prez Obama On Iran Too!!!

The latest statement from the JoCo Congressman joins the growing chorus against recent Prez Obama appeasement . . . Check it:

Iran Nuclear Agreement Concerning

I have grave concerns about the administration's announcement that it will reduce sanctions on Iran without Iran eliminating it's nuclear program. A nuclear armed Iran is a tremendous threat to the United States and our allies, and now is the time to be steadfast and resolute in our opposition to Iranian efforts to build a nuclear weapon.

These sanctions have had a significant impact on the Iranian economy. Since sanctions were ramped up in 2011, Iranian oil exports have been cut from 2.5 million barrels per day to 1 million barrels per day. Additionally, the loss of revenue from these reductions in oil exports, as well as rising inflation, has led to Iran's economy retracting by 5 percent since 2012.

In fact, it is these very sanctions that are driving Iran to the negotiating table for the first time. Now is not the time to turn back. I cannot support a peace agreement that allows Iran to continue to enrich uranium and continue to advance its nuclear ambitions. I fear that this agreement is cosmetic, that Iran has no intention of abandoning its nuclear ambitions and is simply using our lack of resolve to buy time.

The only acceptable peace agreement is one in which Iran gives up its nuclear program permanently.

  2. Someone would have to point out to Yoder on a map where Iran even is.
Maybe he should add it and some other countries to his Mid-East skinny dipping tour.
    Just another $175,000/year empty suit.

  3. Yoder is a shameless huckster. One of the finest examples in the country of how just about everyone you meet in your daily life is a better person than the politicians who represent you in warshington, be they donkeys or elephants.

  5. Is this a direct quote? A Congressman who doesn't know its from it's? What a doofus.

By the way, why shouldn't Iran be able to have nuclear power, which is what they say they want to enrich uranium for? Since when did we become the world's police force?

  11. Just like Sadam Hussein, we have put up with shit from Iran since the 1970's. We have tried to buy then off, made deals, gotten promises and in the end here we are with a country that WILL have a nuclear bomb. For some reason we seem to think that these fucking animals have the same values as us and that all we have to do is sit down art the table and reason while they maintain that they are not bound by alah to speak the truth to infidels.

If we have learned nothing in the Middle East it is that you have to deal proactively with problems. They do not go away, but get worse. We meed top blow a hole in Iran's giant arse and get it over with before they do have the bomb. Sorry folks, but you are not going to convince these thugs to play fair.

  12. Iran was a democracy until the CIA overthrew them & installed the Shaw. At this time we didn't trust democracy (they might elect the wrong people.) The Shaw was understood by the whole world as simply are puppet. Their Revolution targeted our embassy because they understood that we were, in fact, the rulers of Iran.

The Non-Proliferation Treaty does not mention uranium enrichment. Iran has the right to develop nuclear power. These sanctions are working? Yes, they are insuring that they remain our enemy. These comments that they are somehow fundamentally different from is are wrong. People are people. The young people of Iran simply want to live in the modern consumer world. We should help them do this. This is the path to peace ...

  17. I misspelled several words. I was typing fast. Proof reading is hard on my eyes. I touch type. "Loser" seems to be Kansas City's favorite word. I'm not a basment dweller (so what if I were.) I rent a small cottage on the edge of town.

  21. Big oil doesn't want that extra 1.5m barrels on the open market driving everyones margins down. They use the "pity the jews" meme as an excuse. 550,000,000 extra barrels hitting the futures next year would drive gas prices under $2.50 per gal. Can't have that in an election year, now can we?
