KCTV5: A new Department of Justice Community Task Force on Hate Crimes is coming together in Kansas City.
Why do we need this?
There were 104 total hate crimes reported last year in Missouri and 67 of those incidents happened in Kansas City.

"Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Department of Justice introduced a new federal task force created to prevent hate crimes in the area and raise awareness about them. The task force is comprised of community members, the police department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and federal prosecutors."
I'm not sure if this will reduce the quotient of hate in Kansas City that sometimes seems to dominate the Internets but is never as captivating as a good, dirty joke.

Ask yourself the following:
Is there such a legal classification as a "love crime", an "indifferent crime", a "despise crime", or a "jealous crime"? Yes, some crimes are referred to as acts of passion or jealousy, but the crime is classified as murder, assault, etc. "Hate" crime is a bastardization of legal/criminal justice terminology.
