Remember that domestic situations compromise a significant amount of this town's quotient of violence and right now they're contributing to our local death toll.
So maybe blaming socioeconomic conditions, parents or guns doesn't really explain about Kansas City's lack of respect for life.
"At 1035 PM last night KCPD officers were dispatched . . . Regarding a disturbance which included the sound of shots. When the officers arrived they located two subjects inside the residence. One was a black female in her early 20s and the other was a black male approximately 30 years of age. Both had apparent gunshot injuries and were deceased. At this time the incident is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide."
Unofficially, this could bring us to 85 murders for 2013 so far compared to 79 at this time last year.

Kennedy was shot in 1968 by a .22 Iver-Johnson handgun, wielded by Sirhan Sirhan. The figures from Congressional Research Service, plus recent statistics from icasualties.org, tell us that from the first casualties in the battle of Lexington to recent operations in Afghanistan, the toll is 1,171,177. By contrast, the number killed by firearms, including suicides, since 1968, according to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and the FBI, is 1,384,171.

Kansas City business leaders are far-right extremists obsessed with using the state to socialize losses on their private enterprises. This will lead to growing debts, rising taxes, and longer hours that most kansas citians will be forced to work under their debt to the collusive behavior of the rich and the government.
Kansas City needs foreign aid. There is no state infrastructure to protect the poor from violence, to face kc racism problem seriously. We need international boots on the ground in the kc disaster zone pronto.
