Interesting . . . Kansas City Dead Tree Media doesn't call out Missouri marijuana convict Jeremy Lafaver by name on weed charges in a recent headline when other politicos embroiled in scandal earn their spotlight.

It doesn't matter but right now media reaction to save one of the favorite sons of Waldo Brookside is more interesting than the end result of the scandal . . .

Democrat Jeremy LaFaver, of Kansas City, entered guilty pleas to misdemeanor charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a brief court hearing Friday in Boone County. He was fined $200 plus court costs on each charge and paid the penalties before leaving the courthouse.

Again, the media angle of the story shows the obvious disparity . . . Somewhere, Marion Barry and Jesse Jackson Jr. want a retrial in the court of public opinion.

    New jail full of kids with pot charges, doing MONTHS, and then they charge them something like 50 bucks a day for boarding.cash only bonds,no bondsmen. 24 hour mandatory hold on any arrest.real sweet place!

    Yes KC keep electing politicians that are good at making laws for you but find it hard to live up to them themselves.
