
While the culture war is mostly for fun and games it seems that in practice silly conservative economic theory simply doesn't stand up.
Remember that the opening scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off taught us the futility of voodoo economics that is now the economic reality of diminishing returns in the Sunflower State.

Sadly, folks on the Missouri side might mistakenly think this means a victory in the economic border war ... But really, local biz will continue to escape Kansas City as long as our murder rate and crappy schools continue to prove a detriment to growing cowtown biz.
Not surprising at all. Think about where real, strong job growth will be in the future. Technology. Generally, younger people are the tech developers. You really think some young, start-up company is going to relocate here when all they hear about is Browndouche, education budget cuts, and our vocal insane teabaggers? Lots of other places have no state income tax, they can pick there too. Also younger people tend to be more progressive and liberal. You think what they hear about Kansas in the news is going to draw them here? Hell no. And it's the crazy leadership of this state's fault and the low-information voters who keep electing them
ReplyDeleteNo one is going to throw a work party in a town that spends its time on pet projects and talking up a plate full of various taxes. Why would any business invest in that kind of shit?
