Mainstream media was quick to give this guy a pass along with Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders selling out his COMBAT Anti-drug program in order to stand-up for the dude.

Here's hoping that all of the Kansas City Democratic Party support for LaFaver during this controversy will also apply to so many denizens of the urban core also facing drug charges in the era of mass incarceration.
