EXCLUSIVE!!! CRAIG GLAZER CONSIDERS THE LIFE AND TIMES OF TOMMY MORRISON!!!

TKC NOTE: In his own words and without the banter of newsie hacks, Kansas City media impresario Craig Glazer considers the short, tragic life of Kansas City boxing legend Tommy Morrison. Check it:

Tommy Morrison
Bad Boy, Bad Boy

In the Old West, America fell in love with the gunfighter. People loved to read the five cent novella on the bad boy heroes of the day like The James Boys, Wyatt Earp, Billy the Kid, or Wild Bill Hickok. Why? Simply this: it’s a lot safer to live vicariously through people’s lives who risked it all for fame and glory. This trend continued in the early twentieth century with the new bad boys; gangsters. Men like Jon Dillinger, ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd and Organized Crime Boss Al Capone were sensationally written about in their day. Times had changed and most of their exploits were front page news. They sold a hell of a lot of newspapers. Years later, following their deaths, movies were made about all of these ‘bad boys’. There were rare exceptions when one of these swashbucklers would outrun the coverage and live to a ripe old age and learn how famous they had become, like Wyatt Earp. However, most of these men died young.

In the 21st Century, the bad boy image has moved from gunfighters and hoodlums to athletes and TV and film stars. With rare exception, their careers take a meteoric rise at a young age and then flame out. Recent examples have been people like James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix and Heath Ledger to name a few. They were all household names whose stars burned brightly, they all had fame and fortune and they all died before their time. In sports we have people like Mickey Mantle, Joe Namath, and more recently Johnny Football and Barry Bonds. They lived the wild life and all too often paid a high price for doing so. What they all have in common is America’s lust for their tales of walking on the wild side.

Tommy Morrison was such a character. Tommy was movie star handsome with golden blonde hair and a chiseled physique to go with it. Women fell at his feet, even those who didn’t know he was a heavyweight boxing champion. Morrison exploded onto the boxing scene in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. Tommy became the darling of Kansas City when he announced it was his boxing home town. Morrison both trained and lived in Kansas City through his glory years. Though Morrison was really born and raised in Oklahoma, he would allow himself to be announced in the ring as a Kansas City boy. We all loved that. Tommy took pride in pitching the concept that he was a relative of ‘The Duke’ John Wayne and was nicknamed Tommy ‘The Duke’ Morrison.

With his death yesterday, clearly dying from the rare AIDS virus, all the negative stories started popping out. Yes, Tommy had been in jail. He had weapon and drug possession charges over the years and a handful of bar fights and assaults to go with it. However, when you really analyze his criminal record, it wasn’t anything to be overly upset with. He simply suffered from losing his fame and fortune.

Morrison had gained international attention and glory by defeating Heavyweight Champ George Foreman for the WBO Heavyweight Title. Tommy would also become well known for starring with Sylvester Stallone in Rocky 5 as Tommy Gunn. Some felt he was playing a real life version of himself.

Morrison really lost everything he would ever have in the ring. His heavyweight title reign was short lived. He was then crucified by Lennox Lewis when he attempted to win back the Heavyweight title. Shortly after that would come the HIV announcement and the end of Morrison’s boxing career. It was the typical rise and fall of the young somewhat naïve hero who just couldn’t handle his God-given talents.

I knew Tommy Morrison during his glory days in Kansas City. He was a regular at Stanford & Sons in Westport during the early nineties. Morrison traveled with a small entourage and whenever he walked into a nightclub the crowd would ‘Ooh’ and ‘Ah’. Morrison knew I produced the film Champions Forever which starred Ali and George Foreman. Having done that and owning Stanford’s made us quick friends. Tommy and I negotiated for the Harris House property in the early nineties, a bar that had been closed, to turn it into the Tommy Morrison bar. Tommy wanted the dance floor to be built like a giant boxing ring. Morrison and I even met with liquor control head honcho Joe Heide to get a liquor license approved. Even Joe, who was a tough old bird, was caught up in Morrison’s charisma. Morrison volunteered to do charity work with me including Red Friday’s in Westport and other fund-raising events we did featuring the Royals and NASCAR. I have to confess, that Tommy was nothing but nice to me and behaved very well when we went out and even when he had a few too many, I never saw that dark side of him I heard so much about.

My final sad experience in Kansas City with Morrison was when Derek Thomas and I both watched the Lennox Lewis fight together at the Quarterage Hotel. I took Morrison for fifty bucks, well, I had to back my buddy even knowing he would lose. The irony that sitting across from me was the greatest Chiefs player ever to don a jersey after the Dawson era. He, too, was a bad boy. Like Tommy, he had the same issues of booze, drugs and women, just not equipped to deal with his fame. Like Morrison, he too, would die at a young age.

As I said at the top, nothing is more American than the outlaw, the bad boy, the rebel. The one who stands alone against great odds and more often than not, overcomes them. We cheer them, we admire them, we want to know and touch them and all too often we despise them and are jealous of them. Why? I think every man wants to walk a mile or two in the shoes of these men for all the good stuff, but most of us don’t want to pay the price. To be more honest, most of us have no way to be like these people. In their own way, they were all truly special and helped shape the concept of what the American Dream often can be. I should know, I have a little experience in this arena myself.

Tommy Morrison walked the tightrope for several years. He was the Great White Hope in boxing. There was a time he was loved and adored. That was yesterday, how soon we forget. Those moments of greatness now overshadowed by public disdain and a lukewarm sympathy; the man deserved better.

  1. And here comes the WILDMAN.

Really angry about a lot of things. Not at peace like Tommy. Which is a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Well done Glazer. Morrison was a lot of things but most of all, a champion.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Agreed. This is a lot nice than a lot of the stuff that I have read. Strange that that Glazers have been the nicest to him considering how much crap they get all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Sad, sad story. Wish he would have been more careful or received better advice. He could have been a great champion. Such a waste for his family and for KC.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Craig nails it. This is the column that should have been in The Star.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Craig is a lying POS whose just said lots of nasty things about Morrison now is acting all nice what a fucking loser go check his lies out at KCC

  7. Chet Marrson9/3/13, 8:31 PM

This story is full of more lies than I care to sit and type out.

Ok Glazer you either fix this tonight or I will start action tomorrow to fix it.

    Ball in your court

  8. I love the "rare" AIDS virus jab. When the celebrities stop dropping like flies then I guess the concern goes away...

30 million people have HIV out of about 7 billion on the planet. That is about 1 in 250 people.
Not bad odds but I would still keep it wrapped.

  9. Who the fuck is Chet Morreson? I don't see anything here that isn't true. It's the nicest thing written on Morrison in KC, by far. I did read KCC about how Morrison may have gotten the virus. So. It isn't mean. Hearne is often mean the way he puts things. This was very kind and thoughtful. I like Tommy thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well done Craig, best story on the subject. Liked your overview of BAD BOYS. Great read. Tommy would have liked this one.

    ReplyDelete
  11. how did morrison get aids anyway

    ReplyDelete
  12. I stayed up reading last nite. Read about him. Watched his documentary. Mr. Glazer you summed it up here. Nice read.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Craig is one of KC's best writers. His subjects are varied and he has inside information on so many subjects. His stories all have the ring of truth. The guy seems to know. He lived the life and doesn't pull punches. I wish he had a radio show so we could speak to him on air. I know he does radio but its all comedy. Want more.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Glazer has fewer haters these days. He simply defeats them with the truth. They say the same things all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Morrison, Westport, Thomas, the Chiefs of the 90's, those were the days.

  16. Was the Harris House the Raisin Rack? Now McCoys?

he also has fewer comments fucktard. People who dislike Glazer and call his bullshit, are the only reason this ass hat ever got more than 20 comments, 15 of which he writes himself unlike this latest column, of which he didnt write a single word.

  18. Tommy Gun. How cool to work in Rocky. I was a fan. Wish things would have been better for the man.

You really do have a good heart Craig. This was one of your best articles, I had to take a minute before I responded. I agree with you, Tommy was always nice to me and he seemed like a good man.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Steve in Bonner Springs9/3/13, 9:47 PM

This is all a lie for the most part and Craig knows it and it can’t be proven as the truth now since Tommy is dead. So up jumps Craig crawling out of the closet claiming this load of Glazer Manure is true. He has proved more than Harley on here what a liar he is. I know for a fact that Tommy Morrison despised Craig Glazer and the so call Champions Forever thing Tommy was against from day one. Oh Tommy talked to HBO, but made it clear he wanted Glazer to have nothing to do with it. Tommy’s favorite spot downtown/Westport was the Beaumont Club not Stanford’s. Tommy ran with lots of people when in town and to put it mildly had a wild life, a life that caused his death and the death of several others. He didn’t date during this time, he had no need to date women, they threw themselves at him every night and he ate it up like any young person would. New lady every night was the goal back then. Tommy never liked NASCAR and I have no idea where Glazer comes up with this crap. Other than Tommy boxed for a few dollars at a race track back east in 2007.
Also Craig fails to tell all you people about the really bad side of Tommy that all of us who “REALLY” knew him knew about. Notice Craig fails to tell you how Tommy treated most women like hell and had little respect for them sort of like yes that’s right, Glazer himself. See any mention in Craig’s story about Tommy’s ex-wife’s and how he treated them and his children that he walked away from and would have nothing to do with them.
Yes I knew Tommy Morrison not proud to say I did, it is what it is but trust me he wasn’t this great person that Mr. Glazer wants you to think he was. He became famous overnight and simply he let it go to his head.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I agree with Craig on a few things here but I think there is a tendency to let the hype machine take over. Morrison was good but he never reached that next level. Maybe if he had more time he could have gotten there.

    ReplyDelete
  22. sounds like a bunch of hangers on and wannabes in this thread.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Steve has it right.

One thing to add, it is so funny that Tony and Hearne continue to let CG step on his own dick just to draw eyeballs and GC keeps coming back for more. The whole time CG is thinking it makes him high profile, which it does. A high profile shit heel.

    ReplyDelete
  24. OOPs sorry Glazer there are still some haters lurking. How the hell can they attack this story. It was pretty kind to Morrison. Its clear that Glazer knew of Morrisons issues, but chose to address the better side of him. I saw Morrison on Red Friday on tV news. So thats true and that was Glazer's deal. I just don't see what in here is untrue? ONly a hateful jerk would.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Boxing fans will hear Morrisons name again during the Floyd Maywether fight coming up soon. They will count Tommy out for the last time. Rest in peace.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have no comment till Harley the Pussy weighs in. How else will we know what to think? Get Glaysure and Harley in the same story and you've got all the lies and exaggerations you can stand. Comment counts are down because normal people won't sully their hands with either of them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. They would hate on Glazer if he wrote a book report.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anyone else noticed how only just on KCC and TKC is any real attention being given to Morrison's death. Lets see Glazer and Hearne doing all the talking. What does that in itself tell you? Nationwide outside of mentioning the death it's been old news for two days now. The news isn't there because they all knew just who Morrison had became and it wasn't good.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Asshole at 10:20 it was front page news in the Star. All over the tv news, even Glazer's father, Stan was on TV about it, they stressed how Morrison was a fixture in Westport, at Stanfords and friendly with the Glazers. Guess they made all that up just for Fox 4. Haters, hate.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Steve in Bonner Springs says some of the things I've heard before. But you got to take things with a grain of salt. Nobody is all bad or all good. Obviously, Tommy had his troubles and I think most hope that ge is at peace.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "Boxing fans will hear Morrisons name again during the Floyd Maywether fight coming up soon. They will count Tommy out for the last time. Rest in peace."

Damn right! do you people have any idea how much money he made for HBO and ESPN? he was a walkinjg gold mine at one point. And none of them would be where they are without him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The Star HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA like you can really believe what it says.

anyone who is famous and has ever been to KC the Glazers claim is a fixture at there place. All bullshit they can't prove and most people I am sure just tuned it out.

Sort of like how the Glazer's rant and rave about Robin Williams but ever notice how Robin talks about the Glazer who really made his career take off because he came to KC to practice on any of the talk shows????? Ummm no cause it's all bullshit Robin was here when he was a nobody and now he is somebody who knows he didn't become a somebody in KC for sure. If he had he would let us know so.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 10:25 that was why he was broke and had no money when he died he was such a walking goldmine. Get real.

  34. The Truth, The Whole Truth, And Nothing But The Truth9/3/13, 11:00 PM

Don't tell the story if you can't tell the truth and the whole story is my motto.

The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool.

    ReplyDelete
  35. When he was rich they said he was from KC

When he died broke they said he was from Jay, OK

    ReplyDelete

  36. Tommy risk his life each time he got in the ring. He had a warrior personality. If he he would have lost an arm to cancer, he would still be out there boxing. If he would have lost a leg, he would be out there boxing. So is it any surprise that HIV didn’t stop him from continuing his life? Due to the common herpes explosion from 1980, those women knew they should use a condom. Doubt the girls were ignorant about sex or inexperienced. It takes 2 people, both refusing to use a condom to spread HIV. So I think both parties are equally responsible, and its their business if they want to risk catching something. Lets not blame just Tommy. One of those girls had HIV already – that’s how he got it. He was a victim too!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Was this post supposed to be about Tommy Morrison or Craig Glazer? Once again, the writer is all about ME...ME...ME!!!
    Boring!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. You nitwit @10:49 - Most athletes end up broke but they make the owners money hand over fist. Same thing happpened to Tommy. Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sports Illustrated did a decent write up about Tommy way the hell shorter than Glazers story and covered all the facts.

Well minus the Glazers, minus the big movie deal on HBO, well minus a lot of what Glazer said or was suppose to have been told from Tommy.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I just checked ESPN and they didn't quote the Glazers either.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Morrison was a lost soul, hope he found beace before his last days.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I know a guy at the Tulsa World News and he said, "Craig Glazer who?"

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yeah I remember Morrison I beat his ass real good. Who is this Glazer punk, maybe I need to beat his ass real good as well white boy can't write for shit.

    ReplyDelete
  44. What happened to the new club....liquor license issues felon?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Had Tommy been in a boxing match, and beat up an equal opponent so very badly that afterwards he dies.....Tommy would not have been prosecuted for the death. He would be proclaimed the winner and continued his career! Nobody would hold the death against him. But when a woman has unsafe sex with Tommy, he is to blame if she catches something? Each woman has a duty to protect their health. Especially knowing that he was a playboy. Let him RIP.

  46. Give Me A Hoorah9/4/13, 12:22 AM

I know I say what some including Glazer will say are hating comments about him. But my Mother and my beloved Marine Corp always told me to tell the truth even if I know it might hurt someone. I have always respected my Mother and the Corp and will never ever respect a liar like Glazer. So son guess you just going to have to deal with the truth when it slaps you upside the head.

  47. A Medic Who Knows9/4/13, 12:30 AM

!2:22 man are you ever stupid and there are many court cases that prove you are stupid with that comment.

Many states and some cities have partner-notification laws—meaning that, if you test positive for HIV, you (or your healthcare provider) may be legally obligated to tell your sex or needle-sharing partner(s). In some states, if you are HIV-positive and don’t tell your partner(s), you can be charged with a crime. Some health departments require healthcare providers to report the name of your sex and needle-sharing partner(s) if they know that information—even if you refuse to report that information yourself.
If you are serving time in a jail or prison, your HIV status may be disclosed legally under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Standard for Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. State or local laws may also require that your HIV status be reported to public health authorities, parole officers spouses, or sexual partners.

  48. I have known women who don't always practice safe sex. They say "I know that I am taking a risk". But I want sex that way, its just more enjoyable. So don't think the women were innocent. I didn't like the storys of Tommy staring down strangers to pick a fight, but who knows what was going thru his mind. Maybe the self-anger was being directed at someone else. His life must have been hell.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I just wonder how many women got pregnant? Will a long list of them come forward now? Under the 5th amendment, you can refuse to say anything that will incriminate you. Legally you can plead the 5th if a woman asks you if you have an STD.

    ReplyDelete
  50. HIV...Caught it from a woman??? Yeah, right.

  51. Fag bleached blond mullet, fag chin, hung out with closet fag glazer. Got fag disease.

    Next.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Its hard to believe all these haters staying up late to dump on poor Tommy. He wasn't perfect, but who is? I think Glazer wrote a solid piece about someone who was of big news for several years not only in this city but in sports.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Early morning spite from those who themselves most alone.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Let's be honest here, OK? Tommy Morrison was a good, white, boxer. Not really a very good one, and certainly not great. With the breaks he got, including the movie, he could have parlayed that into enough money to live comfortably for the rest of a long life had he been more careful.

Yes, mourn his passing at such a young age, but take a lesson from it as well. What a huge, incredible waste of both opportunity and talent -- in that order.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Let's mourn the passing of the people that he infected with HIV when he was doing his bullshit, "I don't have AIDS routine."
Not one tear will I shed for someone who does this to others. Good fucking riddance.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'd like to see any of these internet pussies, go even five rounds with George Foreman, much less win a fight with him. Tommy Morrison was indeed a decent boxer, up against much stronger talent in his day, than is available now. Let the man RIP and give Glazer his due, for an above average article.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 5:50 am/ 6:59am.....you're 100% right!
nice story glaze. Don't know if
    everything here is factually
correct but still a nice article
    about tommy.
regardless of what his life was
    about...good/bad....we all seek
    redemption/forgiveness eventually

    ReplyDelete
  58. There's two problems with Glazer's latest screed.

First off, I have no desire to trade my middle-class existence for the 15 minutes of fame and the small fortune Tommy Morrison got. None whatsoever. I am not so insecure as to think I haven't been blessed with a good job, a great wife, wonderful kids, and a damned good life.

Second, death at a young age through sexual promiscuity is not the "price" of fame and fortune at a young age. The sports, TV and movie world are filled with examples of those who have handled it quite well, and have never been in a moment's worth of trouble.

And there are other examples of celebrities chased by the same demons as Morrison, yet had the character to pull themselves out of it before it became fatal.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The message of Glazer's story is right on target. No we all don't want to live on the wild side as the man above so clearly points out and some of us are happy with what we have.

I knew Morrison, he had his good side and bad as we all do, but he was a talented fighter til drugs and fame took over. Who knows how far he could have gone. He was cool with me and I'm sorry it all went bad for him.

    ReplyDelete
  60. When was Craig's last HIV test?

    ReplyDelete
  61. but he was a talented fighter

Long as nobody hit him on the chin, then he was out like a light.

But then we all know Thurman is an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  62. No respect for women?
Oh ya,so true. How could he! He walks into a bar, mins later he's got his dick in some chicks ass, dosent know her name or anything about her except she just let him fuck her.
Ya,he should have really respected these women .,clearly they had respect for themselves, goddamnit!

    ReplyDelete
  63. You fucktards Glazer didn't write this POS get that into your ignorant fucking heads.

His writer gets this shit off the internet does the story then Glazer adds a few things the writer redoes the story and then it is sent to Tony.

Glazer is to illiterate to do a story like this even Hearne Christopher will say that.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 8:57 you need to check in bud. It's clear Glazer wrote this story and all his stories, they are way too personal. On one hand he's lying then the haters say he copied it off the internet!!!!! Bottom line the guys a good writer, his columns are unique. I don't always agree with him but we all have our own opinions. I suppose the internet has information on Red Fridays, Westport, HBO and Glazer's movies related to Morrison? You are an idiot. I do think he has an editor Tony or someone, like Whitlock did or so I heard.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Glazer always has a movie deal "in negotiation." So why would you believe him that he was "in negotiation" with HBO about a Morrison movie?

Think about it for a minute. If Morrison was down to Glazer as the "producer" of the movie, yes, that is falling pretty damned far. And a pretty good indication, given Morrison's one-time high level Hollywood connections, that nobody was interested. Except Glazer.

    ReplyDelete
  66. No 9:01 you need to stop sucking up to Glazer. If you have ever seen any of his comments you can see the clown can't write. Hell he can't spell either but after seeing what he is trying to say I think folks just caulk that up to who said it.

Trust me Whitlock never turned in shit like Glazer use to hand over to Hearne for a story then Hearne having to spend hours getting right. So till you are standing there watching Glazer do a story from first word to the end I suggest you STFU about that which you don't know a damn thing about.

    ReplyDelete
  67. 9:09 are you ever right about that.

    ReplyDelete
  68. 9:09; shut up! I'm in negotiations right now for a movie deal about Glaysure and how he discovered Honey Boo Boo, you don't know what you're talking about!
While this is a sad case for Morrison and the female victims, lets look at this on balance. Those girls were without any fucking morals to meet this guy then 3 minutes later be fucking him on a pool table, bathroom, etc. Hell, Glaysure probably even let him fuck his bitch Harley!
Point being, risky lifestyles all the way around. I don't want to see some girl die of aids, but spin that chamber and pull that trigger enough times, a bullets going to come out. I'm sorry, but that's the game.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Glaysure like those fat chicks like Mother June. Hell Boo Boo might be a Glazer. He has Mother June over to the condo there on Buena Vista for what he call sweat outs.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Once again thank you for all the interesting comments. Morrison had his fans and his enemies, most of whom never met the man and knew little about him. I can't say Tommy and I were close, just convenient friends, but I liked him for the most part. I don't know of all he did after the AIDS issue. I only met his wife, Dawn a few times.

He could have gone further, no doubt, but he did go far. Bad moves and bad luck cost him his life. Now that he is gone all the stories come running out about how he gave people AIDS and how mean he was, I can't answer those issues cause I don't know the truth. I just knew the man for a few years and have stated what I knew of him.

I did see him once more, a few years ago. He was on with Johnny Dare when I was in studio, he was already very thin, in shape but maybe 175 pounds, bald and his speech slowed. It was clear he was headed towards the end soon at that time. I felt bad for him, so did Dare.

In KC we don't have a large group of 'well knowns' that is for Hollywood and New York. So those who are in that media circle in time meet almost everyone else. Just the way it is.

Again glad you all enjoyed the read. The haters always find some new angle to attack with, what will they think of next, "Glazer is a Nazi spy".."He never really wrote a book or produced those sports films, my cousin did"...on and on and on. My life has been an open book so have at it, its all entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  71. P.S. Many comments about Hearne and my articles on his site...odd they seemed pretty well written to most of us. Hearne writes about me or interviews me almost weekly so clearly he doesn't agree with some of your thoughts. However its fun to read the hate mail.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hey Tony can't you get someone who really is famous to write stories for you?

I mean someone who really has done something with their life and it not just be going to jail.

Yes we know you like Glazer on here so us commenters can make posts that have you ROTFFLYAO from what we say I mean hell yes it's cheap entertainment from the King of Losers. I know I look forward to his posts so we can bitch slap his ass for being a liar and slob who only gets ugly skanks as witnessed by the Pitch writer. But we want some real good stories as well. Maybe Stephen King would do short stories here. Oh am sure that the UMKC campus has a writing class of some sort who have writers who would like to do stories about KC and not just about themselves. Anyway IMHO

    ReplyDelete
  73. We don't all agree with Hearne either Glaysure

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hey I get a little sick of reading some of these crazy comments against the writer. He did produce many films in sports. I OWN CHAMPIONS FOREVER he did like four or five of them. He is in the one I own interviewing Ali. He has a book out, I don't own it, but have seen it in book stores on the Plaza and Oak Park over the years. He is all our media weekly. So what in the hell are talking about? Hey now that I think about it, he is the most qualified to do sports talk, all those movies. Except for a few ex jocks he is the only one who has the background for it, huh.

  76. 9:53 easy on the drugs dude.

Champion Forever joins the ranks of tabloid type movies that are a dime a dozen and Glazer bought the rights to the movies didn't make them.

  78. 9:53 I don't see your point, how could he buy a film that on the cover has him as producer and he is in the movie himself with Ali. How can you do that? Beats me.

    ReplyDelete
  79. 10:04 I remember myself Glazer saying he bought the rights to those movies after they was made and yes Glazer was like a 4 or 5th producer on them which really isn't much of a position for those type of movies.

  80. Give Me A Hoorah9/4/13, 10:30 AM

Hey numbnut's, yes you at 10:03 I just so happen to be a damn close friend with Super Dave and can say for all here to see, you numbnuts are a damn liar.

Dave has been in one movie and has never said a damn thing one about writing any book or books. If he wants to tell you more about his LA time that's up to him.

In fact I know you was never a friend of his either because we are like brothers I know everything and if someone was pissed at him that was a friend I damn sure know about it. So go along son and stop trying to be a liar because you fail at even that.

    ReplyDelete
  81. 10:30 shut the fuck up,stupid as fuck dave. Dishing it out is much easier for u isent it? .you slobby ass pussy, I'd like to fuck your face up..punk.

    ReplyDelete
  82. -I did see him once more, a few years ago. He was on with Johnny Dare when I was in studio, he was already very thin, in shape but maybe 175 pounds, bald and his speech slowed. It was clear he was headed towards the end soon at that time.-

Now Craig thinks he's a fucking doctor with the ability to predict people's death three years in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  83. But after he bought the rights couldn't he changed the info how ever he wanted to? If you Google Champions Forever you get like a phone book of people using that name. the Latin Legends has him listed as 3rd producer out of 5 producers, Sounds like if you worked there you got to be a producer. All the TV stations in town have a producer for every news show or any show for that matter. On just Champions Forever he isn't listed at all as a producer. In fact isn't listed for anything on it and it had all the big name boxers on it. Champions Forever: World Heavyweight Champs he isn't listed at all on it. So yes guess you can say Glazer produced one movie but then so do many other people in Kansas City who work at producing shows everyday and have won awards for doing so.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I guess if Craig weighed 175 lbs he'd have to lose half his body weight

    ReplyDelete
  85. 10:46 is Glazer no doubt man. How he comments.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Ya,cuz nobody else sees "super turd"form who he really is. Uh huh..ya,gotta be Craig.
    WRONG, asshole. not Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Why doesn't CG produce his own narc film

    ReplyDelete
  88. I am a close pal of Craig Glazers. Being a former champion in contact sports made me fan of boxing. I own all three of his boxing pictures. Craig is listed on the cover as THE LEAD PRODUCER on all three. All you have to do is read about it on Amazon, he is the main man. Simple as that. I'd bet you money to prove it by meeting you and showing you the covers but you already knew that liar, punk, coward. Plus you have no money. Glazer is the real deal, you haters are all losers that couldn't lick his boots. Me I'm a former world champion middle weight. I'll miss Tommy.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Rock star Glazer another 100 comment story. You the man.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I worked with Craig in KC on a commercial for Sports Illustrated. We edited Champions Forever the original for them. They ran a spot where if you bought SI you got the movie with it. Went well. Glazer is the main producer of that film. He is in it with Ali. When they shot in 90 he was an associate producer but bought the rights, redid it and its his and Ron Hamady's. Nice guys. They did like four more. All the facts.

    ReplyDelete
  91. 4:02 you are wasting your time people like Super Dave, Rainman, Rice and Tom are all losers and hate on Glazer cause they admire him so much. He has done it all, they have done nothing. End of the road.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Tom Bowman, Rice gave you up as a hater. What a pussy you are, THE PATROL. That was your claim to fame 45 years ago, you been nothing since. Your daddy gave you some dough so you can drink all day and night. You wasted your life Tom.

Super Dave and smartman were lovers, both queer as a three dollar bill. They hate Morrison cause he wouldn't give them the time of day. They jacked off to his photos. Can you believe that. So does Mysterious J. All gay. All the time. Smartman can go find Tommy now and ask for an autograph.

    ReplyDelete
  94. We all knew Super Dave was gay, but Smarty. Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Harley you think Super Fag Dave has a crush on Glazer?

    ReplyDelete
  96. This is rich, word is Smartman died of AIDS and got it from Super Dave!!!!!!!!! Dave is next.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Craig I will give up all the haters I know on here if you and Jeff let me come back. Deal? Tom Bowman and Dan Malarky are two of the five who write daily bad shit about you guys. I've seen them do it.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Did Smarty really die of AIDS? Is that true? Dave is gay? What?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Sad but true. I was one of the few people at Smartman's funeral service. Super Dave was not there. Hearne was there. Smarman's wife told all twenty or so there that her former husband died of the AIDS virus. Did you really think a bug bite him? Very sad. Sad one of his gay boyfriends, David Super Dave was not there, clearly he does not want people to know he is a homosexual. He is, for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Heard the ugly rumors about Smartman and Super Dave. Surprised to say the least. Guess the rumors are true. Rest in peace Smartman.

    ReplyDelete
  101. The Real Harley9/4/13, 4:27 PM

Think it was a threesome. I mean Mrs. Smarty, Super Fat Dave and her?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Just saw all this dribble on Super Dave and Smarty. I'm surprised he had no defense, the other guy is dead. I hope all this is not true.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Just sad ...knew stupid dave was a big wet puss, but,,,damn

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hey 4:02

Prove it. IMDB shows two entries for CG and it is as a producer on the two boxing films but not in any other capacity. If CG owns the rights to these films, why does he not put up just enough on Youtube to prove he was more than a second, third or even fourth string producer on these straight to video films.

Knowing CG's mouth, he would if he could. Ali was the greatest boxer of all time. If CG had face time with him, my guess is we would never hear the end it.

  107. Went to Amazon dude, the entire piece is on Craig Glazer and HIS interviews with Ali. The other producers are on there and so is Ron Hamady. You are a nut job. I guess Amazon made all that up huh? Glazer has been on TV, radio, our papers, New York Times and tons others on interviews on his movies. They have been on tv and pay per view. I've seen tons of this stuff over the years. Why do you keep writing this nut whack stuff? Did Glazer do something to you? You come off insane.

    ReplyDelete
  108. 7:32 I know, I know and he doesn't write his stories they are from the internet. He didn't write the book it was all made up by some neighbor. Guess he isn't on radio that is a fake voice. Clint Eastwood isn't Dirty Harry either. Man this guy needs some mental help. Yes I see the other names let me clue you in, ALL PICTURES HAVE MULTIPLE CREDITS FOR OTHERS EVEN OTHER PRODUCERS mindless fool. THE COVER OF THE MOVIE, WHICH YOU CAN BUY ANYWHERE INCLUDING AMAZON SAYS PRODUCED BY CRAIG GLAZER AND RON HAMADY, THE OTHER NAMES ARE ON THEIR UNDER THEIRS..all you have to do is look at the cover of the film or back. How stupid are you. Are those made up? I know Eric Hosmer is Glazer too . You must see Glazer in your dreams.

  110. Ok so he was a producer for 2 films look like way down on the list and just because Amazon says something it isn't the full fact either. They sell the product and the write ups are what is provided to them. As someone said earlier a lot of people in this town are producers and that is true it's a job per say so what. It don't make you special or better than anyone else. For GD sure don't give you the right to say others are losers.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Glazer you just can't please some people. So Super Dave is gay and so was Smarty. Shocker.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Comment King another plus 100.

  113. 7:46 you best hope you stay hidden smartman's widow just might take a notion to find your ass and deal with you. A good lawyer make your life hell for a very long time as well as destroy any public image you may have had. You can be found real easy, easier than you think. Smartman had many friends, friends with power no less. Your buddy Glazer won't be able to help you.

  114. The Real Harley9/4/13, 9:21 PM

So she did do a threesome with Smartman and Super Dave. Three ugly people in bed and in love. Were you one of the few at the funeral. Fags.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Heard Mrs. Smarty was a doggy.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Ironic a womanizing pre-pubescent on the verge of geezer-hood writing about a dead womanizing apprentice. The sad part Morrison doing what Glazer does paid the price as Glazer should

    ReplyDelete
  117. If he's a geezer you must be dead. Seen the ladies he dates. Damn. I see the photo of him on the Pitch Cover here. If that's old looking I'm a frog.

    ReplyDelete
  118. You are then indeed a frog. Because the Pitch cover has an old guy on it trying very hard through chemistry both on his graying hair and shot into his butt to look younger and failing so miserably it's scary.

And he winds up looking like an ass.

  120. My girlfriends used to go to Westport, with no money. To get into the Lonestar or London's they would give the doormen oral, in their cars, backroom, or behind the bars. No concerns about desease. Then flirt with men for free drinks. I was not as attractive as them, I always had to pay my own way, now glad of that.
