Local government anti-crime groups in Kansas City are competing for attention while the murder count remains basically unchanged over the past 5 years.

GIVEN THAT JACKSON COUNTY'S COMBAT PROGRAM HAS BEEN BUSY . . . KC NOVA HAS NOW PLANNED YET ANOTHER ANTI-CRIME RALLY THIS WEEK TO GARNER A BIT OF THE KANSAS CITY CRIME FIGHTING SPOTLIGHT!!!
And while these feel-good rallies are nice, just like so many anti-violence programs in Kansas City . . . Their effectiveness is suspect and hasn't been demonstrated.

Get your teddy bears, 1 for $5 2 for $8. Special today: a vigil kit: 4 candles, 1 yellow ribbon, 1 teddy bear, a pack of hankies and a bottle of water. Someone could form a company called Vigils R US or for the inner city, WE B VIGILS & SHIT.
