Today's Kansas City ask is from a rather nice Fall event that seems to be gaining momentum but needs about $9,200 bucks in the next 10 days i.e. they've only raised $800 in their $10K kickstarter and could use some help offering the cultural event to this town.
Sadly, they don't have any sexting pix to use as leverage with City Council.

WaterFire 2013: A Free Community Event on Brush Creek
WaterFire Kansas City is a FREE annual community event held on Brush Creek near the Country Club Plaza. The event encompasses performances from local musicians, singers and dancers, as well as signature braziers of fire flickering on the water throughout the evening. Attendees, young and old, gather on the banks to take in the spectacle of the fires and the sights and sounds of Quixotic and other world-class musical entertainment.
Sponsorship is essential to funding Waterfire and this year the Waterfire Board has created a Kickstarter campaign to raise awareness and reward our supporters. Only ten days remain in the current Kickstarter fundraising window, so we hope you'll take a moment now to click the link below and find out how you can help (donation levels begin at just $5). Without the support of the Kansas City community, WaterFire is not financially feasible.

Great KC event. Do it.
ReplyDeleteThis event would be neater if the "fire" wasn't floating down a sewer.
ReplyDeleteWhy not just light up some of that nappy hair and send it down the creek?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather give to this even than pay money to bring some woman beating boxer to Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteyou guys are haters and you never leave your basement or trailers anyway.
ReplyDeleteKansas City's version of The Beverly Hillbillies cement pont.
ReplyDeleteIf the weather cooperates maybe the methane from the "brown trout? " ill burst into flame, leaving that barely visible blue flame to light the show.
I'd rather watch CG light harley's farts.
Yeah - why don't they just hit up Brooks - or really any other council member will probably just give it to them. WTF do they care it's not their $ really - easy come easy go right?
ReplyDeleteSince when is shit floating in Brush Creek a new cultural event? Fuck that! Go down to the old Banister Mall and throw a bond fire.
ReplyDeleteI need $9200 for my FIREWATER project, in which I'll drink much firewater and stay put on reservation.
