Ridenour is 100% correct. If he wasn't why is the People of Walmart web site so dang popular and funny too. Go to any Walmart in the country, even in the affluent towns and you'll see the same trash.

I think this man needs to address the zoning problems instead of attacking cars, people, and neighbors. My biggest problem is he made this an issue of CLASS and not a property value issue. I mean really, who cares. This old guy really does hold himself in high regard. He gets up on his hind legs and barks around. He's one of the crazy old people in this town from another time and place. This guy thinks, feels and acts in a bias and awful manner. He makes it a CLASS issue. To be honest, I stopped at that walmart often. No big deal. If the wal-mart would like to build somewhere else that would be fine. Do you really want to live, work and shop in this kind of community that supports and endorses bigots like this? Look at his background...he's been around on the city council a while. Gimme a break, its not like this precious fairway hasn't known for months wal-mart was coming. Gimme a break, its not like this fairway has a high income anyway. Gimme a break, they need the tax revenue. Good job making a store into a class and status issue. He did a good job solidifying wal-mart in his community, you just green lighted them to come on in. Could this guy have focused on issues that would be tangible and fact based? The Waldo attack is better. Also, if he has problems with old cars and non-beautiful neighborhoods, he needs to take that up with code enforcement, not bring walmart into it. He's a crazy old yard guy, always yelling at kids, and truth be told this era of people have fat estates and kids that don't live in KC, so it doesn't really matter in the longhaul. If he wants beautiful tract houses he should have moved elsewhere. Seriously, have you driven around there? Not much to see move along. They need the revenue, and its not like his 987 sq. foot split level with crawl space on tiny lot will pay the bills. He also looks like fred phelps, so bonus points on the crazy.
