Last night's checkpoint follows a Northland stop . . . Expect more local checkpoints on the way . . . The next logical step seems like it'll be Northeast or Westside . . . Or maybe the poor souls still residing in South KC.
Developing . . .
Damn! They hit the jackpot on Troost. Go back there every week. Then the missing $15k can be repaid.
ReplyDeleteSo why is this "controversial?"
ReplyDeleteSo, are all those who were caught released. If so, what is the point of having a checkpoint in the first place?
ReplyDeleteshould have these checkpoints twice a week in totally random spots.
ReplyDeleteWe shall run the poor from the city
ReplyDeleteIt's "controversial" -- at least according to Tony -- because the inhabitants of that particular part of the city have high melanin content.
ReplyDeleteInteresting factoid, though. Fifty arrests in five hours. Ten arrests per hour. One arrest every six minutes. Makes you wonder what those people did (or had done) to be arrested.
Disgusting.greatest country in the world .....my ass!! Not in a long time and most likely, never again.
ReplyDeleteTony,where's Craig?
ReplyDelete5:12: Troost is a pretty good route from midtown south. I use it frequently and have a low melanin content. Having been involved in an accident with an uninsured motorist years ago I don't object to the police checking for licenses, insurance, etc. In fact, they should do it more often.
ReplyDeleteAlso, didn't Tony say this checkpoint followed one in the great white northland? Sounds pretty evenhanded to me.
Fuck Craig who cares where he is
ReplyDeleteThis is racist because it offends the niggers. Is there any other reason?
ReplyDeleteSome people just can't afford insurance of ANY kind.it's a viscous cycle.
ReplyDeletePonder that for a sec before you make your comment.
There is enough niggers there to make a Tarzan movie.
ReplyDeleteLolz
ReplyDeleteInsurance is less affordable in urban neighborhoods. That is truth and somebody who makes $7.00 an hour is going to have a difficult time paying inflated insurance premium. It's called the Black tax. It's real.
ReplyDelete"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
ReplyDeleteMy ass!
Welcome to kc..pull over....fuck this place.
ReplyDeleteGod I hate living in a police state.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have insurance don't drive. As for it being a violation of the law it is not.
ReplyDeleteOk bleeding heart lib ponder this. A young person dosen't have much money but is able to buy a relatively inexpensive car and only liability ins. Another person buys a car they can't afford and no ins. That person wrecks the others car leaving them with only a bill they can't afford.
Nice you are sympathizing with the bad guy.
Allllrighty then.....
ReplyDeleteyou betcha. Whatever you said.
If you think this is racist and don't like the locations, talk to your black police chief or black mayor
ReplyDeleteThis is an easy fix. Just have the cops issue drivers licenses for $50.00 when they stop people. Then maybe the city can quit picking everyones pockets over other shit while they do nothing about the crime in this town
ReplyDelete"50 people were arrested on Kansas City warrants."
ReplyDeleteSounds like they did a little something about crime while also dealing with illegal drivers.
Works for me.
wow, cant believe folks were arrested for city warrants. I wonder if the downtown jail have several people working overtime? As slow as those jailers are, they would need some assistance!
ReplyDeleteI've lived in Kansas City for a whole week and just experienced my first checkpoint.
ReplyDeleteNW Barry Rd west of Platte Purchase.
It seems like the police were aggressively looking for violations everywhere in this area even outside of the checkpoint.
