After an outpouring a sympathy and help from the public . . . Some locals are flustered by the aftermath of the Chad Rogers missing person's case.
Here's one example . . .
"They want to involve the entire city in his search, and then tell everyone to "let the family have privacy" and such...but...Liberty PD hasn't even confirmed it's him? And they're already planning a memorial? The whole thing doesn't add up."
Sadly, this is the way that it goes for most missing person's searches . . . Families are usually accepting of memorials but (understandably) don't want everyone knowing their biz. Even worse, media is often the first to get shut out when it comes to getting the real story of what happened. Expect the Chad Rogers case to go into blackout mode even thought media reports that "Liberty police still have not publicly confirmed that the body of the missing jogger has been found."
That's it? No racism??
ReplyDeleteThat's probably right on the button, no nigger, no racism.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the "if this were a black man" folks will be leaving comments here soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking there is more to the "recently dismissed" youth pastor than is being discussed. Maybe some parents got together and took care of business, if you know what I mean...
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking you watch to much of the teevee
DeleteNo this is a typical case of help us oh please help us and then its a ok no go away please and leave us alone.
ReplyDeleteIs that fucking bear dead yet?
ReplyDeleteOMG...are you kidding me. Someone or some people want to make a controversy out of this tragedy.
ReplyDelete"It doesn't add up"....o.k., let's look at this; Yes the public was asked and/or volunteered to help.
The poor man was found. The police haven't publicly confirmed it's him. WHY? Because they must wait for confirmation from the coroner. AND YES, they have told the family & quite possibly confirmed it with them possibly from clothing or they may have even taken a picture of his face.
Never the less, until the police are 100% it's him, no they aren't going to confirm it publicly.
Now, the family wants to grieve privately, who the hell says b/c the public helped it grants them the right to participate in any of the family grieving or services for Chad.
The family may invite the public in due time, but it's their family member and they can grieve publicly or privately, that is their right.
If you don't want to help when the call goes out then don't. Nothing said "we need help, but if we find him you can't grieve with us".
Quit be so self absorbed and whining about not being included!! You all should be ashamed!!
AND TKC if you're drumming up a non-controversy you should be ashamed as well!!!
Exactly! Great points. Also, I'm thinking the family may have identified him. Let's keep in mind it was warm out and he was out there for 5 days. I'm sure he didn't look like he did when he jogged out his front door.
DeleteLiberty is not THAT big and so what if the community helps each other.
Fuck You 6:53 nobody but family drumming up shit. You don't ask for help then more or less say fuck off.
ReplyDelete@6:57 has it right. They used everyone and then they clammed up after they got what they wanted. That is why media should stop reporting these missing person's cases.
ReplyDelete6:57 & 7:05 seriously!! You crying little bitches!!
ReplyDeleteShouldn't the public in tha area have the right to know If there's a killer on the loose?
ReplyDeleteEXCLUSIVE!!!
ReplyDeleteLEGEND OF THE LIBERTY SHIT-HOUSE KILLER!!!!
The poor guy was in a small, plastic structure for four days, in 85-plus degree heat, with the sun on it, dead. It was probably 150 degrees or more in that thing with the door closed. He was not recognizable from the advanced decomposition that occurred. To be crude, he was a mass of goo that was being eaten up with maggots. They probably salvaged his clothing and the family recognized it as his. They will have to do dental records or DNA testing to absolutely confirm that it was him. That takes a while.
ReplyDeleteIt will also take longer for autopsy and toxicology results to come back to confirm a cause of death.
This is not mystery. They are following standard procedure in a case like this.
It will probably show that he died of a heart attack or a ruptured aneurysm.
Good ol' Kansas City where if some dirt bag pitches in to help someone he is supposed to get a stage pass to all the gory details or else throw a hussy fit. Fucking drama queens anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah... gonna get mah "Foxtrot" on tonight... and in COLOR!
ReplyDelete7;54 is right on.
ReplyDeleteAnother dead HONKY!! The American Dream .. YEAH!!
ReplyDeleteCan people not just help for the sale of helping these days without feeling like they are entitled to an explanation. He is dead. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteOh but the family will let the public in enough still to ask for donations for the wife and kid for saint jogger. Isn't gawd supposed to take care if them? Bullshit all around. The sad thing is many will donate
ReplyDeleteYeah the family got all kinds of press time to talk about how wonderful this dude was but now that the thing stinks they want to but the kabash on anyone saying anything about him. Seems they knew the truth about the guy all along. DENIAL!
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling that there is more to this story, but we will have to be patient to find out. My sympathies to his family.
ReplyDeleteThe loss of the youth pastor job should raise many red flags.
ReplyDeleteSo it wasn't a homosexual serial killer
ReplyDeleteNo,glazer has an alibi.
ReplyDeleteThe public has the right to know the last details because the thing stinks like a church lawyer cover up
ReplyDeleteI just heard on the radio that there will be a concert and a 5k run to benefit the family.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit! The guy was married, had bred a kid, and was still able to be a "stay at home dad".
But didn't buy life insurance? Jeeeeeez!
His body was taken to St. Joseph and has already been cremated. Somebody posted on the facebook that he had a medical condition and nothing more. Do you believe that?
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that the people commenting on here did not help in anyway and never would help anyone. Wow, what is wrong with people.?
ReplyDeleteMost likely some Trayvon's killed him, that has been happening a lot lately, blacks attacking whites and yelling, 'for Trayvon'.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much more to this story. Can't wait till it breaks. People who are defending this douche bag are going to be pissed when they find out what he really was and that they gave money and played into all this fundraising crap. Where has his wife, his siblings, his mom been? No thanks from them to the hundreds of people who volunteered their time and gave money, just a hand written statement read by his father. One word people. Pedafile. Jeff City families are speaking out claims of indecent behavior with minors. Caught exposing himself to a minor. And his family knows. Reason why they are filtering donation into these "events." Wife caught him and was going to leave him. Speculation is that he intentionally overdosed then tried to vomit it back up but collapsed. Unfortunately the public might never learn the whole story. Died with him. I pray and feel sorry for his wife and that sweet little boy.
ReplyDeleteIf she was going to leave him, why move with him to Liberty and move in with his parents? I'm not going to lie, my gut was saying inappropriate behavior leading to a possible suicide but her moving with him wasnt making sense.
Delete@10:47 I take it from your post that he also had a drug problem.
ReplyDeleteI have seen or heard nothing of what Anonymous posts at 10:47AM? Are you making stuff up? Speculating it all? I've seen nothing like this in the media.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of any story "breaking" I think it is negligent to not release the cause of death and further information about this case. Hundreds of people jog/walk/bike in the KC area. If it was natural medical causes, there could be something gained by releasing the information so that others can consider precautions they may take in their own personal health during exercise. If it was criminal in nature, the community needs to be made aware for safety reasons, especially as children are preparing to go back to school and this happened on or near school property. If it was suicidal, than by all means release it for awareness reasons! I understand the family is grieving but I also feel they need to be forthcoming with information. They are seeking donations for the family, let people know what/why the donations are needed. In my opinon, keeping the public in the dark, after seeking so much media attention is a gross negligence of his family and the authorities.
I am a member of Shoal Creek Community Church where his family attends. He was a leader to both my teens. He was a great role model. The entire group is devastated.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't his family's idea for the donations. The Church set it up for the family. The police asked the family NOT to give out details at this time. His wife and mom are too shock up to speak so his father put their words down on paper.
Be a little sensitive. How would you feel if your family member just died and people posted a bunch of disrespectful comments. Respect the dead and the fact that these comments hurt his friends and family when reading.

I do believe something fishy with this story. If he was murdered I believe the public deserve to know and be alert a murderer is on the loose. The story made headlines for days and then nothing. The coroner has to know the cause of death because the body has been cremated already? If the guy was truely a good guy I would donate, if he was hurting children, absolutely not. The church shouldn't be asking for money when the family and authorities aren't giving out details. When a whole community helps out, they deserve answers in my opinion. Very very fishy
ReplyDeleteYeah I run in liberty and I deserve to know if it's safe running around liberty. Cause of death should always be revealed regardless of embarrassment or bad name it gives the victim. If it's not revealed, then they are hiding something and we all know how hurtful to victims religion is when it covers for it's bad seeds.
ReplyDeleteIt's not right to withhold the outcome of this case from the public.
ReplyDeleteExtensive police resources were used, many citizens volunteered in the search, and the media made this Story One for days.
The public rightly deserves answers, especially because fundraising is now being conducted. The push for "fundraising" without "answers" will ultimately backfire, as it should.
And WHY has the KC Media dropped the ball on this story? It deserves continued attention in light of the attempts to raise money from the general public.
I agree. The push for fundraising and the upcoming "Memorial Concert" give the public the right to know more details and how the money will be used.
