TKC CONFIRMED!!! NBC ACTION NEWS REPORTS STARLIGHT HELICOPTER & GUNFIRE STORY!!!

Looking around for links this morning . . . Great to see KSHB taking on this story that most Kansas City mainstream media outlets are content to ignore . . .

NBC Action News: Several people at Starlight Theatre on Saturday night reported hearing gunshots during the finale of the theatre’s performance of “The Little Mermaid.”

Didn't see this one until just now and I'm surprised it hasn't received a bigger response BUT all of the deets match last night's message from EXQUISITE TKC TIPSTERS and confirm that violence is also thwarting Kansas City's arts scene.

  1. Watch for mayor sly to go door to door to start collecting guns. Do you expect anything else from a democrat? Speaking of democrats, nice job running Detroit.

  3. If the helicopters r black, thats racist and white people should be beaten by gangs of blacks.

Yeah, I know, but beat them and kill them even more.

  4. Don't worry Sly will use his shamanic powers to fix it.

  6. How about re-naming Swope Park as Spook Park. Maybe Jermaine Reed can offer an amendment to the City Council to celebrate the African nature of the park and Kiki Curls can second that.

  7. Hate to weigh in on such a downer story but I was there when the shots rang out. Not as charming as the occasional lion roar. I live in the city so the sound was not as unnerving to me and mine as it was to the suburbanites. I already knew to watch my step once I was outside the gates of the park.
Frankly, I thought the helicopter was not as scary because there was a good chance that it was the new one, not the Vietnam War vintage copter that sometimes flies overhead. I worry that one will fail and fall on my house.
I will continue to live and breathe in the city, to enjoy the amenities and continue to create a safer neighborhood. I won't duck for exurbia, I won't shiver with fear. I understand and support the ones who do fear the city. That just ain't for me.
