"Three members of the JaxCo Assessment Department were physically removed from the Downtown Courthouse this afternoon and computer records were ceased. The IT department may also be under investigation."
Here's what we know for sure . . . Property tax problems aren't over for Jackson County and the political fallout has put quite a few jobs and political careers in jeopardy.
Developing . . .
Cover the evidence smart move Mike
ReplyDeleteI bet they submit resignations that Mike will not accept.
ReplyDeletejeebus... can't anyone spell anymore? it's "seized" moron, not "ceased."
ReplyDeleteThank you 8:32. From what was written I actually thought they had "ceased" as in shut down making new computer entries for some reason.
ReplyDeleteSanders' fiefdom is coming under scrutiny he never expected. When you look under an old rotten log and see all the roaches and centipedes and other bugs teeming out of the area when you lift it up - that's what's about to happen to Mike's world. And Jackson County is that rotten old log.
ReplyDeleteIn the private world if you don't like something you quit it; stop going there, reading or watching it. Your money and attention go elsewhere. These government things! You can't withhold property taxes because the "company" is incompetent--they will take yor house. As the public we must hold their feet to the fire--they must be held accountable for their actions!
ReplyDeleteI am hearing it might be related to the hate groups that are planning to meet at Missouri Town.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Fire everyone. Roll the heads. In the end do property owners ever get anything less than totally screwed by these bureaucrats? Damn It ! Fix the damn property tax issues!
ReplyDeleteThe assessment "hot mess" should not be a surprise. From inside the courthouse, the signs were clear. 1. Sanders is not in the office and not paying attention to the job he was elected to do 2. He hired other people to run the day to day operations and one is incompetent and the other retired 3. he fired the assessment leadership that understood the process 4. The oversight (leadership) associated with this process was non existent. How, as an elected official, do you allow assessments to be distributed without reviewing a report detailing value changes? No matter how you slice it, it appears a lack of leadership allowed this to happen.
ReplyDeleteRecords seized and not ceased??
ReplyDeleteas a follow up to the hate group at the Missouri Town, the county cancelled that event so they wouldn't look bad. Yeah, another example of transparent government. Not surprised about what's going on in the assessment department. Jackson County never had good leadership, at the top and at the director level.
