SHOCK!!! PROPOSED KANSAS CITY SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT WILL LOSE "TENS OF MILLIONS" ACCORDING TO PROJECTIONS!!!

Show-Me Daily Blog adds up the cost of airport: "An optimistic projection of future income still shows that Kansas City International Airport (MCI) will lose tens of millions of dollars a year trying to pay down the debt for a proposed new $1.2 billion terminal. The Kansas City Aviation Department may believe that a billion dollar project will satisfy the pride of the city government, but it cannot expect that any potential increased income will match the investment costs."

TKC Note . . .

SAVE THIS POST BECAUSE POLITICOS PUSHING THIS PROJECT ARE CONSTANTLY TELLING KANSAS CITY VOTERS THAT THE AIRPORT "WON'T COST RESIDENTS A THING" ALONG WITH OTHER MISLEADING PLEASANTRIES!!!

  6. There are poeple trying to fight this, but their petition -- which many would have signed-- was declared illegal. We just need some lawyer to write something that IS legal. I'd be happy to gather signatures.

  7. This is like the streetcar. City Hall has hired consultants that make up wild projections of how good "whatever" will be so they can get more consulting contracts. Consultants have no accountability for optimism. The Mayor will get his name on something, and all the taxpayers will be burdened for the next 30 years paying on bonds.
They need to be stopped before we become the next Detroit.
